Julianne Hough: 'Footloose' First Look!

Check out the first still of Julianne Hough and co-star Kenny Wormald in their new dancing flick, Footloose!

“People are going to see my performance rather than the glitz,” she told USA Today of the role that requires her to play a 17-year-old. “This is hometown-girl hot. I’m definitely wearing some tight jeans in this movie.”

“Dancing is what I’ve been doing since I was a kid, but I also took acting classes,” Kenny says. “I’ve always watched films. I definitely always want to be the guy.”

Footloose dances into theaters on Friday, Oct. 14.

I wanna punch her in the face for thinking it is ok to remake films. I’m sick of it.

Julianne Hough is incredibly gorgeous. I love her. She’s really beautiful and a really sweet girl.
Now she has to drop that old horse’s ass boyfriend of hers, Ryan Seacrest. It is unfortunate that she is as attractive as she is misguided with her poor taste in men. She should be with someone around her age not a guy who obviously can’t handle women around his age.

An unknown actor? Come on. They would have been wiser to have cast someone like Shia LaBeouf, Anton Yelchin or Penn Badgley instead of Kenny Wormald and this movie would have been much more critically and commercially successful.

I hope she will play an action heroine one day or at least have one little fight in a movie. Just let her kick a guy in the groin or something.

This remake will probably be the best remake you will ever see. Julianne and Kenny are both wonderful!! And at least in this film the stars are actually doing there own dancing. Julianne is so much prettier than Lori Singer and Kenny is a lot better looking than Kevin Bacon. Just about everyone that has seen early showings of the movie has said it is great! Better than the original. Julianne does get into a fight in this and she messes up a guy pretty good. Also none of the actors you mentioned above can dance at all. Julianne and Ryan are in love, we don’t have to like it, we are not the ones that have to live their lives, if he is the man that makes her happy, just be happy for her. She is an adult and can make her own decisions. She does not need our input on her love life.

@Alaia: The remake was not her idea genius, she just tried out for the part, so don’t be mad at her. This remake will be better than the original. I would bet money on it.

  • Madhatter

    The original wasn’t that good…
At the time, the soundtrack is what made the movie.

I have no desire to see this film. Don’t care to see how they ruined the original.

@Madhatter: Your observation is completely correct. I only saw the original for the first time a couple of years ago. It’s not very good. Fact is, I thought it was a silly movie.
