OlderTom Welling: 'Smallville' Series Finale 'Bittersweet'
Tom Welling stops by the PIX11 Morning News studios after promoting the series finale of Smallville on Thursday (May 5) in New York City.
“I think people will feel fulfilled, but it’s going to be bittersweet,” the 34-year-old Smallvilleactor told Zap2it. “If someone has been watching the show for 10 years, it’s coming to an end, and that’s never a fun thing . . .You always want more, but the reality is that it can’t go on forever.”
The two-part series finale kicks off @ 8PM ET/PT on Friday (May 13) on The CW.

I wish Tom Welling would do mainstream movies. He is an underrated actor. He should have joined the A-list years ago. So, I hope that he does more movies, tries to reach his full potential as an actor and tries to win an Oscar.
It is an enormous relief that this will be the final season. It has some positive qualities but they really dragged it on. They should have made it shorter but better written and they would have been able to have ended it a few years earlier.
Tom Welling is such a great actor and was so nice to fans. I really loved this interview, it was fun. Poor Jimmy who seemed desperate to know whether he will fly or not.
I’m so looking forward to see Tom in new projects!!!

Super hero roles really pidgeon hole actors , would never advise and actor to touch one – hope he can break free. He shoud have moved on 5 years ago.

Aww, he is really cute and sweet. I love Tom, I hope he makes it big. Smallville is a bit silly and I don’t watch that often anymore but looking forward to seeing what happens in the final.

I honestly thought the show was already over 4 years ago … LOL.. since he’s 32..he started the show at 23.. wow! am 23 now.. so I was 13 when it came out.. How time flies LOL <3 good luck Mr. Tom :) with whatever you do.
it’s about time… the show’s been running for a long time and it has lost it’s magic.. I stopped watching when kristine Kreuk left the show… all the best though to Tom
GOSH THIS MAN IS GORGEOUS!!! Cant get any perfect than him. Seriously i cant find 1 flaw.
