Nicole Scherzinger and British TV personality Steve Jones will co-host the U.S. version of The X-Factor!
“These two are going to be great together,” Simon Cowell said in a statement. “I have always wanted Steve to work with us; I think he is a real star. Nicole is fantastic. I loved working with her on the U.K. X Factor last year. She is gorgeous and super-talented.”
“I loved working alongside Simon on the U.K. show, and cannot wait to see what he has in store for the U.S. I’m so excited to work with Steve Jones and help discover astounding talent from across the country!” the 32-year-old Pussycat Dolls singer added.
Steve, 34 – who previously hosted the U.K. shows T4 Music and As Seen on TV – called his new gig “an honor” and “a dream come true.”
Earlier this week, it was announced that Cheryl Cole will be joining Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid as a judge.
Paula Abdul is reportedly said to be in talks to also join the judges’ panel.

I guess this means we should expect one or two of the following judges from the UK X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent to join the USA X Factor’s judging panel as well:
Dannii Minogue, Louis Walsh, Amanda Holden, Michael Mcintyre
I hope Nicole Scherzinger does more mainstream movies from now on after her role Men In Black III. I hope that she has a cameo in Star Trek 12.

Not a fan of Steve or Cheryl so glad they are both going!
But i think Nicole will do a great job at presenting, she was wonderful as a judge when i saw her in Manchester.

Now there are going to be two Brits with thick accents – Cheryl Cole (Geordie) and Steve Jones (Welsh). I can’t wait to see the public’s response to this when the X Factor first season begins.
If this show is to succeed in the U.S. you cannot stack it with a bunch of personalities that NO ONE knows. If you want to Americanize, then do so will names and faces that resonate with MIDDLE AMERICA otherwise there is no draw. Let’s see the genius’ at Freemantle Media spin this one. Show is gonna tank with a bunch of nobodies judging and hosting. Obviously, Simon doesn’t want anyone to outshine him. Dull. Next!

I don’t think Nicole Scherzinger knows what she has got herself into. She is the new Dermot Oleary??? She won’t be happy with this role at all seeing as its clear she enjoys being the leading lady.

People can correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think anyone really knew Ryan Seacrest before he became AI host? He was doing radio and hosting random bad shows if I remember correctly. And Cat Deeley came from the UK for SYTYCD. I still don’t think Steve is a great choice as he’s not American but I think he’s a great presenter. He’s got lots of charisma and very self-deprecating. I’d prefer Ryan to have moved over from AI – it doesn’t seem right Simon without Ryan.
I think Nicole should be a judge. I feel like Simon’s trying to keep her sweet in case Cheryl’s a complete flop. I think there’s a good chance that can happen and then he came move Nicole into the judge’s seat. I figured she had a role after she wasn’t at the F1 today.
I’m not watching this now because I cannot stand Nicole and her voice when she talks!!!!!!!!! SO annoying! Fake and irriating! D-mn and I was really looking forward to this show!
I think this is gonna be a dud. Steve Jones, Cheryl Cole, LA Reid… who are these people?
Nicole will do a fine job at hosting, but why do they need two hosts!? And Simon as a judge? Gosh, not again! I hated him on American Idol.
Altogether, I think I’ll pass on this show.

Simon knows how to spot talent that’s why he jumped ship & created his own show. so you have your Willaim Hung, bubble gum, glee karaoke tv show American Idol! =P
@LEEELEE If you think Nicole is fake, you should watch Cheryl. Nicole really showed a different side to her when she was a guest judge on X-Factor. She was funny, witty, compassionate, joked around with Simon and Louis. She was great. And easier to understand than Cheryl. (And I say this as someone from the UK)

Steve Jones’ Welsh accent isn’t as thick as Cheryl Cole’s Newcastle accent. I’m English and can’t understand her at times!
There’s a fake Twitter profile mocking her speech – just search for CherylKerl – it’s funny. Her accent is terribly thick.
Steve Jones is very good-looking, but he knows it and can come across as a little smug at times. His main shtick is self-deprecating humour which always falls flat, because nobody that handsome could ever be humble.
I’m not really a fan of steves and I reckon his accent will be harder for Americans to understand than Cheryls, he has a horrible Welsh accent
