Ann Curry Replaces Today Show's Meredith Vieira

Meredith Vieira announced that she’ll leave NBC’s Today Show in June after a five-year run.

“This is a difficult day for me,” said the 57-year-old morning talk show host on Monday (May 9). “I’m trying hard to hold it together.”

Five years ago, Meredith replaced Katie Couric. In just a few weeks, Today Show news anchor Ann Curry will replace Meredith as host.

Last month, Katie left the CBS Early Morning News. She reportedly will host a syndicated daytime talk show. Matt‘s contract with Today is up at the end of 2012.

Good Luck Meredith. We’ll miss you!
Ann seems like a very, very, very nice person–but one who can’t ask a simple question as an interviewer because she’s too involved getting camera time, and/or figuring out how to phrase a sentence. Annoying. Insulting. There are clearly better choices!! Natalie. Probably 100s of other, very, very capable and smart women or men…Oh well. We as viewers have choices, too.
