Let me tell you, in The Dark Knight Rises, this will be an Anne Hathaway you’ve never seen, and she’s going to knock everyone’s socks off! You are going to be so killed by her performance. I can’t tell you how good she is going to be as a strong, independent, sexy Catwoman. Oh, she is going to be so good in this. It’s unbelievable the performance she is going to give. It’s amazing. Hahah.. freakin’ fantastic, can’t wait! Man! I feel like a woman!

It feels odd somehow but I will not judge at least I see the whole movie. Love the book hope the film stands up to the same level.

are you kidding!! why anyone would hire Anne Hathaway for anything for than the smallest of parts is beyond me. this girl cannot act. didn’t these people in Hollywood learn anything from Anne’s terrible performance as host of the 2011 Oscars. she will destroy the Dark Knight Rises.

Somehow I don’t like Anne Hathaway for Emma’s role… I might change my mind when I’ve seen the movie though.

WTF? What kind of accent is that. She is just terrible. This looks like it could be a really good movie and I love Jim Sturgess but she just ruins it for me. Terrible actress and such an ugly face.

I’m going to forget that the people behind the film let Anne Hathaway get away with that accent. Jim Sturgess and Anne Hathaway together seems good on paper hopefully it translates on the big screen. Btw….welcome back Jim!

L O V E D the book – but films never match expectations so I will probably give it a miss. (although he is very cute)

Why couldn’t they have just casted a British actress in the role? There are plenty of well known Brits out there. Hathaway’s accent is horrible.

    Bewildered Says:

Her accent is appalling. I liked her in Love and Other Drugs, but this might just put me off her. Why couldn’t they have hired an actress from the UK?

She’s doing a Yorkshire accent. I’m from Leeds and it’s actually quite good.

    Lynnette Says:

Why didn’t they just ask her to be American, after Being Jane it is clear that Anne is a great american actress just not one to do an English accent. And Patricia Clarkson is also being british but she’s doing it well with the posh accent. I like the concept but not sure about the rest.

love the book so much. the trailer looks promising only the accent little bit off. but, this movie is such endearing love story and jim is so handsome british guy, just like i imagine dex.

    Dan Says:

The book was amazing, so I’m having a little trouble believing this movie will measure up considering Anne Hathaway’s accent, and the fact that she looks nothing like the Emma described in the book.

    Katie Says:

the book was AMAZING! I loveddd it, the ending however made me a little sad. I’ll admit, I was a bit undecided as if I should watch this movie, since movies & books have yet to measure up… but the director of An Education did this movie and I LOVEEE An Education. I kind of like the cast, but I may just rent it on dvd.

I’ll see this only for Jim Sturgess and the book.
