Rachel McAdams: 'Sleeping Beauty' Premiere at Cannes!

Rachel McAdams hits the red carpet with beau Michael Sheen at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival premiere of Sleeping Beauty, held at the Palais des Festivals on Thursday (May 12) in Cannes, France.

The 32-year-old Canadian actress wore a gorgeous red gown as she premiered her latest movie, Midnight in Paris, earlier in the week! Rachel and Michael both star in the new film, directed by Woody Allen.

FYI: Rachel is wearing a Monique Lhuillier toffee sequin embroidered corset and toffee high waisted raw silk trousers and Amrapali diamond bracelets. She finished off her look with a Ferragamo clutch.

Rachel is lovely, gorgeous, stunning and beautiful.

I hate it when she covers up her most of her curvy body with gowns like this. Perhaps Michael Sheen doesn’t give her enough compliments.
She should really make the most of her prime and wear something a bit more exciting.
It would be good if she ditches the gowns that conceals her incredible physique and shows off her ample cleavage, fuller legs and fuller backside.

  • Claire Merrick

Each of them should be with partners their own age. She deserves better than Michael Sheen who can’t handle women his own age.

  • me

She’s pretty, but not spectacular though. Sometimes I look at her and think “Wow” she’s stunning, but other times she just looks average to me.

  • Barry Potter

Love Rachel McAdams, very attractive and sexy.
She would be an excellent choice to play one of Chris Pine’s several human love interests in Star Trek 12.

  • aycaramba

she’s beautiful, but can do much better than Michael..his face is just so ugly. I see handsomer guys every day.

  • miapocca

she is pretty but not spectacula …lol

she needs to get back to brunetter land..that lipstick adn hair is not HER…its horrid and they are in cannes in spring wheren beautiful sping fashions are showcases so why the trouser suit..

That is a really ugly outfit – why not a gorgeous gown on the red carpet instead of those boring pants you’d wear in an office!

  • Jane from spain

Saturday– she wore a gorgeous gown to her own premiere last night. When you go to someone else’s premiere ( as rachel is doing in these photos) you usually don’t try to upstage them. She looks gorgeous and is dressed appropriately.

  • Frida

I love that outfit, she looks stunning!

  • Halli

She’s a natural beauty, so I hate it when she wears a makeup pallet like this. Dark and dated. She looks so pretty when she wears pinks and peaches to go with her complexion. This kind of makeup works against her and creates shadows so she looks older.

  • Gerry

They are a very lovely couple! They have adoration in their eyes for each other. I do have to say though, those pants with that shirt do not go! There is no proportion going on there and the pants swallow her mid section. She still looks stunning though, regardless of her fashion flop!

  • LoriLori

Is she Deliberately trying to look bad, the ugly red gown and now this!
She is gorgeous this should not have happened

  • Gorgy

She is such a talented pretty girl!! Why is she dating that old ugly man?!

  • susa

@Gorgy: to all the haters – he turned 42 in february, so he is not THAT old. it´s not like she is barely 20, and michael sheen never had that much younger partners…i like them as a couple, and if you don´t – why bother commenting?

  • Saddy

Hey now! Michael Sheen is SUPER talented, funny, and downright HOT sometimes (have you guys not seen the Underworld movies???). He and Rachel make an adorable couple. They both seem like lovely people and she always looks classy and elegant. A Great match regardless of age!

For the past couple of years he has had a long-distance relationship with his Notebook co-star and fellow Canadian, Rachel McAdams, who lives in Toronto.
No one was more surprised to hear of this than the people who’d known them on set. ‘They hated each other. And now they’re dating?’ said the film’s director, Nick Cassavetes. Once, during filming, Gosling asked if he could have a stand-in for his reaction shot because he felt she was so uncooperative he couldn’t bear to look at her. Cassavetes refused. A screaming match ensued between the co-stars.
Gosling doesn’t deny this. ‘We inspired the worst in each other. It was a strange experience, making a love story and not getting along with your co-star in any way.’
    And then what? I ask.
‘I don’t know what happened ,’ he says. ‘Two years later I saw her in New York and we started getting the idea that maybe we were wrong about each other

RACHEL McAdams was so desperate to be in new movie Sherlock Holmes, she had to beg director Guy Ritchie for her part.
The actress — who plays Irene Adler alongside Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law in the hotly-anticipated flick — joked that she sat outside Ritchie’s house until he agreed to cast her.
“I hunted Guy down and camped on his doorstep until he relented!” McAdams told Total Film magazine. “OK, no, we had a chat in a garden and it went from there… Fortunately, it worked out for me.”

Lainey Gossip – Article – SHERLOCK HOLMES
Have you seen Sherlock Holmes? And Rachel’s performance? The strength of the film is the chemistry between RDJ and Jude Law. The weakness of the film, aside from an unnecessarily twisty plot, was McAdams. You know I love her. But that role was totally miscast.
Laura and Michelle thought Rachel Weisz would have been an excellent candidate. Sure. But, just to be contrarian, wasn’t the point of that part that she end up forgettable? I mean the way she’s – SPOILER ALERT – dismissed at the end, rather painlessly in fact, implies that Holmes really, after it all, didn’t care much for her. Or perhaps that’s what ended up happening after Guy Ritchie worked with her.
Maybe it’s just me but I get a distinct no-homies vibe between the two of them. In their interviews, there’s some tension. And not the sexual kind.
But now it’s a million different tangents when the only two points I wanted to make in the first place were that: 1. I like her dress but I don’t love her dress it and Diane’s ensemble is better and 2. She was rather disappointing in Sherlock Holmes, agree or disagree?

Rubin admits, “I saw them (Pitt and Aniston) as Henry and Clare. I just did. They just seemed like a perfect version of Henry and Clare.
“I just found them equally attractive, equally competing in terms of the Hollywood sort of arena at that moment in time. They were as good a couple as you could find and I thought that I would’ve loved to have seen them together in a movie.
