Tom Hanks holds onto Julia Roberts on the cover of W‘s June issue.
Here’s what the Larry Crowne co-stars and real-life BFFs had to share with the mag:
Julia on Tom directing her in the film: “God, no [I wasn't nervous]. We knew each other socially. When I was in Rome, shooting Eat Pray Love, Tom sent me the script and said, ‘Tell me what you think.’ I couldn’t stop smiling when I read it: It’s topical, but very positive.”
Julia on whether she’d ever be a director: “No. I can direct breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I take pride in my kitchen, but I’m not going to direct a movie.”
Tom on writing the role for Julia: “Yes. I had some teachers who looked like Julia. I would see them and think, I love you. So there was never anyone but Julia. Still, even after she said yes, I was the boss. That meant I got to say, ‘You don’t wear this dress, you wear that dress.’ And Julia’s Julia – she can be intimidating [Laughs].”
FYI: Julia is wearing a Dolce&Gabbana silk dress on the cover. She also rocked a Versace gown and a Giorgio Armani corset and skirt for the shoot.

I’ve always wanted to see Tom Cruise do a movie with Julia Roberts and one with Tom Hanks. They are all incredible actors and it would be amazing to see them bounce off each other in a film.
I hope to see Tom Hanks and Bruce Willis do another movie together after only having one scene together in Bonfire of the Vanities (1990).

A movie with Julia would be nice. She and Tom are the two most successful actors of this era in terms of box office, yet they’re also the two most hated ones on the internet.

wow, they both look terrible, to have a lifetime of pampering and adoration and luxury, they look worse than any of of regular folks. used to like julia but she really comes across as a really nasty person,

That corset photo is the same pose that Angelina recently did for Vogue. Julia’s version is nice but I love Angelina’s better because it’s more of a silhouette shot.

what’s with all the haters? you can’t deny that they are two of the most popular/successful actors in hollywood. plus, they seem like great people. i don’t get the thumbs down on every positive comment.
