It is unfortunate that Everything Must Go, Skateland, The High Cost of Living, Brother’s Justice, The Big Bang and Hesher are only being released in select cities and that we won’t find out how they would have done commercially if released nationwide. Most of them have interesting casts.

It would have been interesting to see how smaller films for the leads would do commercially.

They should utilise the 34 villains and 16 allies listed on Wikipedia that weren’t in Thor (2011) in future sequels.

wow tanking already

Indie films never open nationwide because the producers and distributors know in advance that they will lose more money than make back (since the more theaters it opens in, the more rent and fees they have to pay. Also with limited release, they can get more tickets sales per theater). Even though Black Swan was already picking up Oscar buzz way before it was released, it still opened in limited release. If it surpasses expectations, it gets opened nationwide. That’s how indie films work.

So I must be the only person that thought the film was terrible. It was just garbage imo and Natalie Portman and the thor guys characters relationship hadn’t developed enough romantically for her to be crying over him. It was just stupid. Marvel films are becoming ridiculous.

I loved it, very entertaining imo… and Chris Hemworth’s body is OMG…he’s got an amazing body!!

Thought it was a pretty good movie actually. I was only kinda distracted by the hotness that is Chris Hemsworth. BEAN I think you are right about their relationship, it seems like they barely new eachother.

Loved the scenes in Asgard w/amazing effects. Chris Hemsworth is the perfect Thor.

I LOVED THAT MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!! THOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bridemaids is great and will do lots of repeat business.

Fast 5, awesome!!!! Can’t wait for Fast 6, Vin i love you!!!!

Priest actually only made 14.5m…some of your numbers are off

I saw Thor and enjoyed, it was good entertainment, but definitely Chris and Natalie showed no chemistry between them, Natalie spends the entire movie with the same expression on her face.

And do not get me wrong I like her, but I do not know what happened to her in Thor!

Bridesmaids was surprisingly amazing!
I thought it was gonna be dumb ass hell but I nearly peed myself the very first scene and it went up hill from there.
It is NOT a chick flick it is awesome and hilarious go watch BRIDESMAIDS.

Fast Five continues to pour in money. $20 m? for third place. Wow.

The one must-see movie this summer I think is Bridesmaids! It’s hilarious, bust-a-gut funny, but also has a lot of heart! and very relatable…everyone in my theatre was laughing and believe me the audience was very diverse…LOved it!

this week i saw jumping the broom and something borrowed! i enjoyed both movies! looking forward to seeing johnny and penelope!

Thor is amazing @ 05/15/2011 at 11:46 pm
