Has anyone noticed how the guy in Backstreet Boys “AJ” NOW resembles actor—Paul Giamatti and Vin Diesel.

In his effort to look edgy and cool he has really destroyed his looks.

I’m much older than him…but he was such a cutie in that video
“I want it that way”….what happened???

As if he had a choice in this and would pass it up LOL!! More likely sponsors knew ticket sales for a solo show from the Glee guy (he has ONE album and was doing a solo tour??!!) would be low so investors piggybacked him on to this one.

I dont know who had this idea but NKOTBSB sucks. U dont need 9 guys to sing a song, really… NKOTB (Im a fan) would have been enuff…

Mtthw Morrison tour no one wanted to see – tanked. Another Glee D-Lister…

Obviously he got over himself and realized nobody would buy tickets, no one really wants to see him singing.

    Angel Says:

Why blame him? Bookers for the theaters should have known. Plus, there were plenty of people coming to see him in Hairspray, Light In the Piazza, South Pacific, not to mention charity events and television appearances, and thousands have bought his CD. Why are you even bothering to read this item if you’re not a fan, or write in if you don’t really know what you’re talking about?

I think more people would like him if he finally came out of the closet, but I guess he’d still have that old witches face to deal with.

    Iffy Miffy Says:

@Angel: His album has pathetic sales. It came out, what a week ago and it is where exactly?! Nowhere! Glee albums hold on to the charts longer than that. He made a smart and only choice – join up with someone else and save what can be saved.

Okay…he rather tour with a boy band than a solo tour…right. EPIC FAIL.

Iffy Miffy – see if this gets through to you – his CD reached the top 10 on the Itunes chart, and is now in the top 20. It also made the top 10 in Canada. The CD is one of the top sellers on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. You can do some research, and find out the same info. Again, I have to ask, why would you even bother to read the comments? Nothing else going on for you today? Also, touring in stadiums is considered a success. Plenty of struggling musicians would give anything for the same opportunity. And for the last time, anyone so obsessed with anyone else’e sex life has issues of their own that they need to address.

This guy is just awful, yeah I hate the tv show too but I’m sick of people thinking that just because theyr’e on tv they can have a singing career like that! Having his own solo tour right off the bat really??? Who does that??? That’s not what I call paying your dues… That goes for the other Glee D-listers.

    Lisa Says:

@Angel: Yep, his CD is doing very well. His solo tour was a smaller venue theatre tour so he would have done fine for ticket sales. He is going to now to playing arenas and getting HUGE exposure to the 30-45 year old female demographic. New Kids/Back Street also get an opening act that ups the cougar bait considerably and will bring in their gleek daughters with them. Anybody who doesn’t consider this a smart move knows nothing about the music business.

At least Matthew can hook up with Jonathan Knight or one of the other guys.

    TinyDancer Says:

His CD debuted at #24 with 16,000 copies sold. So it’s a good thing he hopped on this boyband tour because no way people were going to pay to see him solo, singing those crap songs from his record that hardly anyone bought.

  17. 17
    Angel Says:

But he’s made a fan out of you, since you took the time to find out his CD’s sales numbers and chart position, and then come back here to write a message about it. Given that performers such as Sara Bareilles and Papa Roach have had similar debut album sales, I’d say he’s in good company. Just to reassure you, more people will be buying his CD if he does end up appearing on the “American Idol” finale, and while he goes out on tour.

British Latin American – kind of freaky, that vivid imagination you have.

Debuting at #24 out of 200 for a first record is pretty good in this age of illegal downloading. There are a lot of artists who would be happy for that number. Also he is in the Top 10 on the Itunes pop chart. He is doing well, actually.
