It’s official: Anna Kournikova will be The Biggest Loser‘s new celebrity trainer!
The 29-year-old Russian-born tennis star is joining the NBC reality show as longtime trainer Jillian Michaels leaves.
But sources also told NYMag‘s Vulture that current trainers Brett Hoebel and Cara Castronuova will not be returning.
Executive producer Todd Lubin wouldn’t comment on Brett and Cara, but did tell Vulture the show “intentionally tried to not replace Jillian.”
“[Anna] grew up with very little in Moscow, pounding tennis balls every day when she was 5. That’s the drive she’s bringing to the show,” he added.
