Fergie & Josh Duhamel: Our Bodyguard Is A Hero!

Fergie & Josh Duhamel: Our Bodyguard Is A Hero!

Fergie and husband Josh Duhamel head into JFK Airport to catch a flight to Los Angeles on Thursday (May 26) in NYC.

The day before, the couple attended the FiFi Awards, where the 36-year-old Black Eyed Peas singer won the New Celebrity Fragrance of the Year Award for her perfume Outstpoken.

During their flight to L.A., Fergie and Josh‘s bodyguard, Pascal, helped a passenger who began vomiting then suffered a seizure.

TMZ reports Pascal moved the passenger into the aisle, where a doctor who happened to be on board started performing CPR.

“He’s a hero!” Fergie told cameras when they landed in L.A.

FYI: Fergie is wearing an AllSaints “Garcia” waistcoat. She accessorized with Cartier Santos Dumont Vendome Aviator sunglasses and Fergie Footwear “Priority” sandals.

    Not sure what’s more disturbing – that they consider “Pascal” a hero for simply moving a passenger into the aisle (the docs a hero), or the fact that Josh Duhamel has a bodyguard. I’m guessing Pascal’s main job is to make sure Josh doesn’t act like a jerk on a plane again.

    I SEE JOSH BROUGHT HIS MOM WITH!!!! LOL

    @ck:
    I too was very disturbed to find out what a jerk Josh is….I really hope he’s coming to realize that he can’t behave like a little boy and get the public’s support (strippers, plane incidents, whatever).
    As for their comment on their (I would say “her”) bodyguard, no harm in their praising him, as he DID step up to help, regardless of whether a Dr susequently was able to provide assistance.
    More people should not be afraid to get involved. How many people on the plane had a first reaction that the guy was on drugs or something and looked the other way. We have reached a point in our society where it’s okay(applauded and rewarded) to be completely self absorbed and look for flaws when people try to good.
    Especially this weekend, how about we think about all of the good that strangers do/have done to save all of our lazy, self absorbed a*ses.
    Have a nice Memorial Day.

    @Ginny:
    I agree with you Ginny, and as the mom of a soldier I thank you for attempting to remind everyone that we are free because of brave “strangers”.

    It was “nice” that he helped, but who was protecting Fergie? Being “nice” could have opened Fergie to an attack. All this guy did is move someone. Professional bodyguards should be CPR certified – we won’t hire anyone who isn’t.

    The other thing we won’t do is leave our client – no matter what’s going on, after all it could be a distraction to get to a client.

    @Tampa Bay Bodyguards:
    I don’t think there was much risk of Josh and Fergie being attacked on the plane. Do bodyguards even typically travel in first class with their employers? I see their purpose being protection before boarding and once exiting the aircraft. Also – did the bodyguard jump in before they knew there was a doctor on board? Even if the bodyguard was cpr certified, isn’t it normal for a medical professional to take over the administering of cpr once on the scene?
    Your comments make no sense.
    Back off the bodyguard moron.

    I want to wipe that stupid look off Josh’s face. He is not bad looking but always got this dumb look on his face.

  • phoenix

    SO the body guard moved someone from HERE to THERE. WOW.

  • maria

    @phoenix: The most important intervention when someone is having a seizure, is to keep them safe. And that means lowering them to the floor and onto their side, so they don’t choke or hurt themselves. It was the right thing to do, and fortunately he knew what to do, and the doctor then knew when CPR needed to be started.

    People shouldn’t be so critical if they don’t know what they’re talking about.
