OlderKelly Clarkson: National Anthem at Indy 500!
Kelly Clarkson brings the house down as she performs the National Anthem on Sunday (May 29) at the Indy 500, held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The 29-year-old singer performed with Seal – David Foster accompanied the duo!
“Um these cars are averaging around 220 mph?! Hanging at the Indy 500 having fun with my brothers and friends!” Kelly tweeted, adding that she thought Danica Patrick had the coolest car on the track.
FYI: Kelly is wearing Swarovski’s silver shade “Fit” pierced earrings and a pewter two-toned “Appolon” statement ring.

They all did a great job! Something different for the 100th anniversary of the Indy 500. Oh and happy birthday to Kelly’s brother-in-law, Sean! What a fun day she’s having!

And while we’re on the subject of singers performing at motor racing events, you should post the video of Nicole Scherzinger singing ” Rolling in the Deep at the Monaco Grand Prix. She was amazing!

If her weight bothers you, close your eyes and listen to her incredible voice. It is one of the best out there. Clarkson is losing weight, but we must remember that television adds 20-pounds. I would love to hear from someone who saw her performing live. I personally think she looks so much better than she has in years and she sounds better than ever. Loved this arrangement. Seal needed his mike up. I guess it was hard to hear at the end with the jet flying over, although Clarkson’s powerhouse voice withstands it.
