Halle Berry‘s next project could have her hitting the small screen!
The 44-year-old actress is attached to star in the upcoming TV drama Higher Learning, according to Deadline.
The series, which is being targeted for HBO or Showtime, would have Halle playing a college professor.
Halle is also reportedly starring in the comedy movie, The Skank Robbers, opposite Jamie Foxx and George Lopez, along with the sci-fi flick Cloud Atlas.

I’ve actually liked her tv movies “The Wedding” and “Their Eyes were Watching God” so I’m looking forward to seeing what she can do. But “The ***** Robbers” with Jamie and Martin sound awful!

@Brianna—She’s been on TV before…good segue. She was to star w/Samuel L. Jackson in Mountaintop this Sept/Oct but had to drop out of it because of Cloud Atlas supposedly starts filming in September.
Jared, when are you ever going to fact check. Known fact you can’t always go by the projects that are listed on Halle Berry’s imdb wall project list. Think there were a bunch of articles stating that Halle is no longer associated with the Foxx/Lawrence project. Actually, it was NEVER confirmed she that she would actually do it. But she did get a lot of negative comments on the boards and her board and nothing was heard about her association with the project since.
For those who actually are true Halle fans or experts know for a fact that Halle or her team often throw things out there to see what the response will be. Perfect example all the comments she got in the Xmen series that the fans wanted Storm to do more hence her role was expanded in the 2nd and 3rd movies whether or not she ruined them or not.
This may or may not be a good move only time will tell….

This is a come down. Zoe Saldana has her own film coming out, plus about 5 more. She is is directing Vin Diesels new Pilot about NYC bouncers ( she is from NYC; he was a bouncer ) She is modeling, attending cannes, booking covers and editorials.
Why her over Halle Berry? I must admit, I saw her movie center stage and SHE can act. She played the sassy ballerina like her life depended on it. They should have cast her as storm xmen.

Before you comment about Halle Berry or any actress/actor of color it would be best to study the history of race in America particularly the film industry. Berry has nothing to prove to anyone and why would she? She has been in the business over 20 years and she has made things happen for herself. She has won an Emmy,Golden Globe, Oscar, SAG, Naacp Image Award , Golden Bear and many others for acting and producing from her peers. [Not bad for a colored girl in an industry that prides itself on "whites only" casting and that can claim ownership of a well documented TCM proof of institutionalized racism behind and in front of the camera.] White actresses/actors can definitely contribute their success in part to white skin privilege although they would never admit to it. Someone on another site said this which is so true, “More and more established, credible black actors are moving into television because it’s the only place they can do something besides play a maid or best friend to yet another white starlet.”
Think it would be a good career movie for Halle to head to TV full time and to just do the odd movie here and there. At her age (dinosaur age in Hollywood), likely the bigscreen roles for her are drying up (plus she is not the best actress, never was) and despite being sexy, that’s not enough and she likely doesn’t get first dibs on good roles anymore. So I say it’s a good move.
She’s always had success on the small screen with fantastic movies such as “Introducing Dorothy Dandridge” and “Their Eyes Were Watching God” that have won her a Golden Globe;a Primetime Emmy Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Lead Actress

One thing for sure 2010 and 2011 has been a busy and looks like a money making and award winning for Halle hope it lasts but usually in Hollywood it comes to a halt pretty darn quick !
