Lauren Conrad pairs a Paper Crown blazer, tank, and leather shorts with Christian Louboutin shoes on the cover of Lucky magazine’s July 2011 issue, on newsstands Tuesday (June 7).
Here’s what the 25-year-old fashionista had to share with the mag:
On launching her new line, Paper Crown, without the help of MTV: “It’s easier to launch the line without MTV. A lot of people in fashion don’t want to be linked with anything that has to do with reality TV. Showrooms were turning us down.”
On why MTV deemed her show too “highbrow”: “It didn’t feel like a perfect fit. It’s difficult to compete with all the Jersey Shore-type shows out there. Besides, there weren’t any scenes of me getting drunk or fighting, so what’s the point?”
On why she hates the gym: “I’m just not a fan of the gym. In fact, I hate it. I understand loving the feeling you get after working out – all those endorphins. But going there? It’s the worst.”
On how her eating habits have changed: “I’m now focusing a lot more on my health. I no longer eat pork, I rarely eat beef, and I don’t like chicken now because my mother keeps four hens as pets. I’m not kidding.”

What is her new show about?
I always liked Lauren. she’s always been responsible and has had personal accountability. I agree with not having her show or fashion line linked to MTV, which she’s right, only looks for shows about people getting trashed and having sex with anything on legs. Lauren is too good for that, any normal person is too good for that. I love her fashion style, she’s always so put together and gorgeous! so what network will carry her new show?

@Question: Her show was going to be about her starting up the clothing line “Paper Crown”, i guess they filmed some of it but then when MTV saw the sample they were dissatisfied because they wanted more of her personal life involved in the show and she didn’t feel comfortable doing that anymore. I think it also has to due with the fact she has a boyfriend of a couple years now and doesn’t want to risk anything with it but putting it in the public eye so much.

I love how she says “it’s easier to do a fashion line without MTV” but then she was shopping her new show to them. she’s only saying that cause they turned her ass down. She’s a famewhore just like the rest of them.
@Liz: please. Learn to read before you comment. She’s saying its easier because theyre not prying into her personal life like they did with the hills and laguna beach instead of making a show about the launch of her line which was WHAT SHE PITCHED TO MTV.

Why isn’t she wearing clothes from her clothing line at Kohls?? What her line isn’t good enough for her? Last I checked you couldn’t buy Paper Crown or Christian Louboutin at Kohls!!
