Coldplay: 'Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall' First Listen!

Check out Coldplay‘s new song, “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall,” off the British band’s currently untitled fifth studio album!

“Dear friends, we’re about to play a bunch of summer festivals so it’s as good a time as any to put out a new song,” drummer Will Champion wrote on their website.

“And we saw oh this light I swear you, emerge blinking into. To tell me it’s alright as we soar walls, every siren is a symphony and every tear’s a waterfall,” Chris Martin sings on the track.

“Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall” is now available on iTunes, except in the U.K. where it’ll be released on midnight between Saturday and Sunday.

I love Coldplay but I’m little disappointed about the overexposed wife of leader (Gwhyneth) She’s bad singer, bad actress…

I love the new song..They did not copy anyone

They both sample “I Go To Rio” by Peter Allen. Coldplay gives credit for the sample on both their site and YouTube.

All the haters writes here because they’re jelous of martin-paltrow couple. Coldplay could write the best song ever and Gwyneth could act masterfully but for you it’s never enough!!!They are multi-skilled and talented artists and deserve all the success they have. poor you!!

mmm… i like the instrumental not really feeling the rest. maybe it’s the **** quality of the song. im sure it’ll grow on me :D
and to everyone posting about sampling and originality. err’body is inspired by someone right and on this inference, sampling is just an expression of this. originality is dead – a dream fed to the weak to keep them hooked and hinged!

@Cathy: No one is jealous of GOOP being with Chris Martin. I seem to remember a time when Coldplay was really good prior to Chris Martin marrying GOOP. She’s like an evil succubus draining away his creativity. This song really sucks. It sounds like any other Coldplay song.

    monsieur song Says:

this song is insipid and tedious. they’ll make wonderful judges on some has-been show about dancing or singing or making funny faces if this is the best they can do.

and paltrow… what a (cute) joke.
