OlderKelly Clarkson: National Anthem at NBA Finals!
Kelly Clarkson performs the National Anthem before Game Four of the 2011 NBA Finals on Tuesday (June 7) at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
The 29-year-old singer showed her support for the Dallas Mavericks by wearing one of their tees as the team took on the Miami Heat.
“Guess who’s singing the national anthem tomorrow for the Mav’s game ….THIS KID!! We’re gonna win!! I can feel it!!” Kelly tweeted the day before.
Late last month, Kelly sang the National Anthem with Seal and David Foster at the Indy 500.

Kelly is amazing. I love whenever she sings anything! Her voice is chilling. Killer pipes. Awesome rendition of our National Anthem!!! I sure wish her new album would hurry up!!! I need some new KC!!!!

Great job, Kelly!! She’s becoming the NA sports girl… it’s a good thing she does like sports and her brothers are obsessed and tell her to sing at every big sports game. I’m still bitter that they picked Christina A. last year to sing the NA at the Super Bowl in Dallas. They should have asked Kelly, since she is from the DFW area.
Kelly was awesome tonight singing the national anthem. No one can compare to her. I had chills listening to my anthem being sung by a great singer.

So I think she’s 3 for 3 now. When she sang the Anthem at the Cowboys game during Thanksgiving in 2007 – TX won. Last year she sang for the Rangers – they won that one game she sang at. Today’s game – Mavs come back and win it! She’s a good luck charm for Texas. Too bad she’ll be in Nashville for the CMA Fest on Thursday; she should have sang it again for Game 5!
@iknowwhatyoudidlastsummer: Yes we do, but she didn’t want to do that movie but she had to and she doesn’t plan to have a career in the film industry anytime soon. She’s sticking to what she does best which is singing.
