“It’s difficult to believe that he was an orphan and I’m not entirely sure how he got an education. If his story is true, then it sounds as if he has had a sad and lonely life thus far.”

You may be correct, it’s not true but even if it were not true, these type of stories do exist…not that any and all orphans achieve their entry into a television talent contest that gets international presence but the probability that just one makes it against all odds is well…probable. If you have not personally met just one person who defeated the odds, then you’ve missed out on one of life’s greatest thrills albeit it a cancer survivor, an abused wife, a major car accident victim who survived when others died, a person of disadvantaged background who achieved a major accomplishment like a college education, a special skill etc and many probably have encountered such individuals but don’t know it, because these individuals don’t necessarily talk about it…they are usually humbled by their experience and happy to have passed through those dark times.
South Korea is considered by the WEO an advanced economy versus the G7 classification, so it’s conceivable he got minimal education while at the orphanage at an early life, enough to communicate and survive. Most five year old American children are already advanced in their communication skills and reasoning so it’s conceivable he is the real thing. I have visited many orphanages in second and third world countries and they are bare necessity and maybe that is all one needs. We live in a world of excess and have lost the value of the basics. Most of these orphanages are run by missionary Priests, ex pat nurses or inspiring individuals such as the magnificent Christina Noble, whom I’ve met, a street child herself and an Irish multi divorced ex-cabaret singer. To start she put in her own money and through the goodwill of donations and volunteers over a twenty year period, her foundation now has a second orphanage in Mongolia. She runs a home combo educational facility for children left there by their parents because they cannot care for them anymore, children of addicted heroin mothers and/or the street children. The orphanage I visited was in Ho Chi Minh (always and forever Saigon to me LOL) where the premises were clean, organized, the children disciplined and laughing. We donated toys to them and she was very gracious, coming out to shake my hand and to talk to me. It’s very conceivable Choi was beaten as he claims only to run away. While being a street child is never good, he would have learned survival quickly albeit not the formal education, but street orphans are very savvy and know more than the formally educated think. As you know education is more than a formal classroom setting. Begging is always appeased by tourists who gladly give to children and the disabled. It would not be surprising he raised money to get music tutoring. I understand the nature of scrutiny and skepticism in this day, but his scenario is conceivable on so many levels and if not true, it’s a well pulled off scheme that is very effective, but I’m a believer or a s*cker for such stories anyway LOL.

I hope Angelina starts working on a movie soon. I don’t care if bradpitt is filming one soon, Angie needs to be selfish if she wants to make good movies. The he works then she works thing is not working out for her as far as her movie career goes. What’s the point of being on top if you’re gonna make crap movies like salt and wanted? Get it together Angie for your fans that expect bigger movies from you.

    ++++++++
I forgot to address the “sad and lonely life”…
Sad from an outsiders POV…”we” who are more priviledged and more sensitive to our “doing without” obviously see their life from our perspective.
Orphans only know the life they live until it’s different. Furthermore, street children as are most children are extremely adaptable. As part of human nature and survival in an unfamiliar or hostile environment, they form together like any children in a school setting and protect, befriend and share with one another…in an extreme example, the concept is akin to a gang scenario which has been referred to in research journals as the “extended family.” (This in itself is a long discussion.)

Aside from lacking parental love and support, street children do support one another and it’s not necessarily a “lonely life,” however it is a tough life…my comments are not to imply that the more advantaged should lessen their empathy and not help those who are less so…it is the honorable and “right” act to help others less fortunate and in need…and it’s good for personal growth, the soul and spirit too.

Brad Pitt 1 palm, 6 children, always sexy
Exclusive meeting with Brad Pitt, actor and co-producer of “The Tree of Life, ” Palme d’Or at Cannes

His name has become synonymous with superstardom. From Ocean’s Eleven at Tree of Life, the player explores the contours of her new job with a stated ambition to give his children the keys that will allow them later to better understand who he is. Meet a man happy.

The Tree of Life, which he co-produced, won the Palme d’Or at Cannes. In his most demanding role, Brad Pitt, the perennial Hollywood sexy man, embodies the authoritarian father and embittered. In contrast to his image of Prince of coolness, doting father converted by the arrival of his six children. A couple who-despite the gossip and a forced cohabitation with the paparazzi – is the road, an offspring “united colors”, although in his shoe, commitments and environmentalists who had secured, and a career that ranges from filmmakers and entertainment … Life smiles at Brad Pitt.

Madame Figaro. – The Tree of Life had been expected for months by the fans of Terrence Malick. Tell us what movie you’ve produced …M.

Brad Pitt. – I always find it hard to summarize, both its narrative structure is impressive! It is a meditation on the life of a small family in a small Texas town in the 50s. The mother of the hero Jack (Editor’s note Hunter McCracken, Sean Penn in adulthood), represents the grace and pure love, her father (Ed Brad Pitt), the stifling nature, obsessed with survival. The Tree of Life explores the tension between two opposite poles, and, meditative scenes, the relationship between the universe and the infinitely small. These tiny moments we are living children, who will define us as adults … It is a question about the meaning of life, death and the impermanence of things.

You’re very hesitant to embody O’Brien, a man pile and a tyrannical father. Why have finally accepted?

The film needed a helping hand it was eight years working on it Terrence. Too experimental, not enough public … I started as a producer and I started as an actor, to facilitate financing. No studio had wanted to engage in this project, and it grieved me. Turn with Malick was also an experience in itself. Every morning, he hands you a roadmap. This is not the scenario. You have to improvise and just talk. It looks at accidents, imperfections. One way of working that excited me.

After Babel, it is your role as adult …

Maturity has become an absolute necessity since I’m Dad. (Laughter.) A few years ago, I was more in the irreverent by nature. I choose my roles according to my children, I want to be proud to show them my work when they are old enough to see my films. I hope that through the roles that I played better they will understand who I am and discover other facets of my personality. Meanwhile, I am the voice of a character in Happy Feet II. The first loop runs at home since its release on DVD!

One can not help but draw a parallel between childhood hero, Jack, in the Christian south of the United States, and yours in Springfield, Missouri, in a Baptist family. Have you drawn your inspiration?

I did see many men like him growing up, frustrated because they had encountered the limits of the American dream. We can not always win, advancing in society. O’Brien feels oppressed by his environment and transmits that bitterness to his son, even if he feels remorse. It is a very universal feeling. My father, however, encouraged me to follow my ambitions. He helped us, my brother, my sister and me to consider a better life than he lived. I would not be here today without him. I pass those same values to my children. To find their way during the short time they have to spend on this earth.

There are about ten years, you said to want at least ten children, and no one took you seriously. You’ve had six in six years! Is it like you imagined?

Yes. When I was in college, I had a friend who came from a large family. They were six brothers and two sisters. In the morning, the mother and father were making pancakes for everyone to turn in a chaos that I found pleasing, and bickering between bursts of laughter. At this time I was seduced by this family dynamic. I did not know what kind of organization it required!

How to spend the night in Jolie-Pitt?

You need a very large bed, a very firm mattress that does not move too much when the kids jump on it, and did not sleep too light. On the set of Inglourious ********, Quentin Tarantino, I was working overtime to sleep a few hours in my dressing room …

Are you the kind of sugar daddy who is swayed by his daughters more than his son, or the authoritarian father for all?

I do not know what you mean. My girls never do anything stupid. (Laughter.)

    from JJB Says:

You have not shot with Angelina Jolie since your meeting on the set of Mr. & Mrs.. Smith, there are six. Do you have any projects together?

This would facilitate our logistics! We have a policy of “shoot to turn, so that the children were always one of us with them. We are thinking more and more to take the next step and perhaps do everything together, for once. As we are not in the repetition.

You said, a few years ago, that “being famous makes you permanently in the skin of a pretty girl who is whistling by construction workers. ” How do you handle the celebrity of your family today?

When we leave our children know that people will take pictures, they are told to remain natural. Making a hand signal if they want, or not. However, sometimes the paparazzi out of a bush, we prepare an ambush, and then they get scared. It is in these moments that we remember that we watched. We avoid taking them to the former. We try to provide them with normal activities, off camera.

Where are you from your project to rebuild the Lower 9th, this popular area of New Orleans devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005?

My greatest pride is to have succeeded in proving, with one hundred and fifty houses that we have already built, it was possible to build green homes, recyclable materials, low energy consumption and cheap (Editor’s note 100 000 euros maximum). I want this to become a model. For all.

As co-producer, you have already won an Oscar for The Departed, Martin Scorsese, and the Palme d’Or with The Tree of Life. What business challenges have you left it?

I have no specific career plans, but I can not imagine being an actor until age 80. Production, architecture and photography and my passion will take more and more room in my life. The realization seems too time consuming, I prefer to enjoy my family …

Google translation of Angie’s interview with a Greek reporter.

our meeting took place just three days before the Palme d’Or-winning film “The tree of life” makes its official premiere at the Cannes Film Festival. A film met with mixed reactions Some people said the film’s director Terrence Malick, the award received, cashed past successes, while others that Brad Pitt has found fertile ground to build his character. Angelina however, disagrees, and shows clearly flattered when you call them one name …

The film Kung Fu Panda 2 work and education because it aims to help people discover the yin-yang, their ‘white’and ‘black’ in their soul. Do you think we have all the good and evil within us?

I think that’s not all. The film emphasizes how important what we choose to become distinctive and that it is not identifying what “we are by our nature. ” Even if someone had a bad childhood or he belongs to a different race, if he so wishes can change the future. Our attitude is a crucial decision on whether we are good or bad in this life.

We must therefore oppose the wishes of others to become what they really want?

I think people are ultimately motivated by trends with a touch of selfishness and weaknesses. So I deny that we are all forced a bad thing. Most of all human characteristics, good wins weakness.

How did your children when you listen to your voice gives the heroine of the film, the Tiger?

I’ll tell you the truth: they did not like! Puzzle and told me that this is not my voice! They liked it too but the film more than the first part. We saw families in America, public display, and looked excited. I remember, I was disappointed when I saw them the first part and told me that the voice of “Mommy” does not match the film. My kids are tough in their criticism, as should all children!

In the second part of Kung Fu Panda a goat-futurist reveals to the heroes of the future by enabling them, by a circuitous route, to realize their dreams and wishes. If you have a ‘tragic fate, “what would you ask?

I do not know whether to ask him something about my future. I do not know if I want to know what will happen in the future … When you wonder about the future should be ready for the answers you get!
If you could make a wish, what would it be? We certainly hope to have health, our children and see them grow. For me I would wish to become big enough that I can play with my grandchildren.

The heroine looks like your invincible. You?

I think I am not afraid of anything, except not to suffer something you love. What I can not stand as an idea. It makes me immediately so vulnerable!

Does that bother you when you call with Brad, Brangelina?

Not at all. This confirms that address the consciousness of the world Brad and I are one, which pleases me very much.

Have you seen the movie “The tree of life” which stars Brad Pitt? There is a big secret …

The film is excellent and Brad has given his whole “being”. The proposal was made several years ago, and many subsequent movies though never stopped to work on his mind. I am very proud first of all is he satisfied.

Your visit to Libya, as UN ambassador, was undoubtedly an act of courage because few dare to use their popularity to such actions. What reason prompted you to act so quickly?

I went to the Libyan border immediately. It was my decision easier because I had an internal curiosity. I wanted to understand what is happening there. I feel I should be there to support this whole series of historical changes take place in this country, Africa and the Middle East. The changes are many unidentified. In Tunisia I wanted to animate and enhance their new constitution for the changes they make. For me it was lucky to be there, to be witness to history and to support them.

Why not answer the question you have to press regarding the supposed death of Bin Laden?

It is an issue that just does not like to discuss …

I admire you as another Elizabeth Taylor in the role of Cleopatra?

You’ll see soon. If everything goes by smoothly, I think I found my “The Tree Of Life”.

Found in Greece, particularly in Santorini for the second part of the movie “Lara Croft”. What experiences learned?

It was simply a wonderful trip. Unique. Not a thought or a moment because I spent a wonderful job. It was pure pleasure! The moments in the sea of Santorini was unique. Paid for enjoying the scenery. These are the good of the profession …

I watched “inside job” , a documentary narrated by Matt Damon. May be you can check out the DVD.

It talked about the 2008 financial crisis, how it came about…..etc.

The documentary movie mentioned about Iceland, some of the big name United States investment bankers……etc

Allen Greenspan was mentioned a lot, and towards the end of the movie, it talked about Obama’s election campaign promises on financial reforms and yet , he has appointed many of the Golman Sach’s executives who were partially responsible for the financial crisis, and that nothing has been done on his promises on financial reforms. .
