Chris Colfer Signs Book Deal

Chris Colfer has signed a book deal with Little, Brown Books for Young Readers!

The 21-year-old Glee actor will write two books for young adult readers, starting with The Land of Stories, due out in summer of 2012.

The story will focus on twins Alex and Connor Bailey and “be a fast-paced adventure series that combines the modern world with fairytales,” THR reports.

“When I was 10 years old, I promised myself that if I ever had the opportunity to write this book, I would jump at the chance,” Chris said in a statement. “This book has been at the core of my imagination for a long time and I’m excited and nervous to share it.”

I get douche chills from this boy. One-note actor. Just because he sobbed a bit here and there. That’s the problem. People seem to think good crying is good acting!

Oh, Lord. And, let me guess, the lead character will be gay….someone that he can play in a movie.

i don’t get why he is so priviledged in the hollywood business !!! he’s got so many opportunities when he’s only 21 and did nothing but play a gay guy in glee (basically he played himself !) i like real talent and to me it’s not normal that he gets to have so many opportunities when he didn’t do much in his career

At least he’s not writing an autobiography, like some other kids we know. LOL

wow …. what a bunch of homophobic commenters … he’s done more with his life in the last 2 years than all of your pathetic lives combined … you do know that half of hollywood is in the closet … if gay people offend you so much you really need to turn off your TV and stop watching movies.

gay people aren’t going away are …. your bigotry is primitive.

He is without doubt very talented. But I can’t help but think too much too soon.

Just because his character is also gay, doesn’t mean he plays the same character. If you see interviews and pictures of him in real life, he’s very different from Kurt. Kurt is flamboyant and flashy. Chris is very down to earth and while still charming, in a very different way from his character. I think it’s stupid for people to say he can’t act because he shares the same sexuality as his character. If he was straight and played a gay highschool male, you’d all be applauding him.

I can’t believe how much he has done at such a young age!

Chris is incredible and I will happily buy his books…
let’s see if he really is as gifted as I think or if his talent is overrated as some people here think

@itgirl: How ignorant can your comment possibly be? What you’re saying is that because Chris Colfer is Gay and he’s playing a Gay character, then it means that he’s simply playing himself and therefore does not deserve all the awards and recognition that he’s got and is still getting. Using that ‘logic’ then it means that every STRAIGHT guy who plays a STRAIGHT character is simply playing themselves and consequently they do not deserve any awards or recognition either. Chris Colfer is an extremely talented actor who portrays the role of Kurt Hummel with so much depth and understanding and he has created a character that is not only believable and real but who also, whether you like the character or not, makes the audience feel so much empathy for him and this is the reason I think that there are such strong feelings either way for the character of Kurt Hummel. A simply Mediocre actor could not possibly do this. I really hope that Chris Colfer is continuously on our screens from this day onwards as his performance and skill as an actor are a JOY to watch. People should STOP calling him a GAY-ACTOR and simply admit that he is an all-round brilliant and talented ACTOR . He deserves our respect!
