    Lame. It looks like they made The Pirates of the Caribbean with no budget. Definitely no money left for a good poster.

    That whole “put a sword in Orlando bloom’s hand and make a billion dollars” thang doesn’t actually work unless Johnny Depp is in the movie. For an example of this, see Kingdom of Heaven. It was a Ridley Scott movie and Orlando made it suck. It sucked loud and hard.

    @andy:

    He destroyed a Cameron Crowe movie too. Cameron Crowe never makes a bad movie ( Personally I like Vanilla Sky) then Bloom came along and made Elizabethtown his worst movie.

    Re-makes…re-makes…re-makes. Are there no original ideas for movies anymore can’t say the last time I paid to see the crap on the big crap.

    The best scripts are on HBO anyway….Game of Thrones…RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    @JC:

    What sucks about the most about Elizabethtown is that Crowe is a genius with characters like the one Bloom played in that film. Lloyd Dobbler in Say Anything comes to mind. With the right actor, E-town could have been just as brilliant. Bloom is NOT the right actor. For anything. And it’s sad because Crowe hasn’t done anything since. Bloom was been the downfall of otherwise godlike directors. That is how bad he sucks.

    logan lerman looks rather feminine with his hair like that.

    Sockpuppets!!!
    I see that the delphidiots have been hard at work.
    They’re just mad that even though Orlando is playing a supporting role, his image IS THE LARGEST IMAGE ON THE POSTER!!! Proving them wrong ONCE AGAIN!!!
    You people really have gone over the edge. Your hatred has consumed your lives. You need help. SERIOUS help.
    ‘Andy”, aka ‘Mike’, aka Delphidiot Supreme, you get more ridicuous and pathetic every day.
    You sure make it easy to laugh at you.

    @LOL! Says:

    Are you retarded?

    @andy/mike Says:

    What?
    Kingdom of Heaven got great reviews! And Orlando received a lot of praise for his performance, especially in the directors cut.
    It also made over 200 milion.
    At least base your insults in fact. Otherwise youcome across as just a bitter hater who doesn’t think before speaking.

    I'm watching you Says:

    *rolls eyes at the delphiidiots*

    hmmm Says:

    Orlando is a supporting player, yet they seem to be focusing a lot of their promotion around him
    I guess we know who the big draw is for the film.

  19. 19
    @mike Says:

    So you want us to wait until October to see Super 8?
    Suggesting that we choose between the films, when one comes out in a few days, and the other in several months?
    That’s so stupid.
    That’s so delphi.

    @andy Says:

    Cameron Crowe had run out of ideas and was trying to do something quite experimental. If you read the script of Almost Famous it’s so well-structured, and the script of Elizabethtown is weird and problematic. It doesn’t have a normal three-act structure, the character has all this stuff happen to him and remains suicidal right up to the end, the character of Claire is terribly twee, and the shoe recall and the journey box could never happen in real life. All of those problems would have been there whoever was in the film.

    But it ends up being uplifting and I find it quite rich, you can go on thinking about it. I’m interested in how it’s all about surviving the Hollywood hype machine although it’s not entirely clear what the answer is.

    Cameron Crowe wanted Orlando for the role and had to fight the studio. He seems to have written the film with him in mind; he had him read early versions of the script. He knew exactly how he wanted crucial scenes played and said that Orlando got it exactly (in his diary of filming). If you think a director is God-like, and he decides he wants to use a certain actor, why would you decide you know better than him?

  21. 21
    well Says:

    It’s quite obvious who the studio considers to be the star attraction for this film.
    Orlando hasn’t made a big, mainstream movie in four years, yet the studio puts him in the forefront. They know what people want.
    Even if the film is cr*p, it will be fun cr*p. And a lot of fun seeing Orlando chew the scenery as a cad.
    He was brilliant in Sympathy for Delicious as the arrogant rocker. I can see him doing really well as The Duke.
    Bring on the cheese, I don’t care. As long as I get to see Orlando on the big creen again!
    I can’t wait!!!

  22. 22
    @LOL! Says:

    How does the size of his head on a poster prove anything other than his publicist threw a lot of money at the studio? The fact is, Orlando can’t act. That’s why his movies tank. POTC and LOTR don’t count because other, actually talented actors carried him.

    @18 On what planet did KOH get good reviews? Planet Shipper? Don’t rewrite history through rose colored shipper glasses.

  23. 23
    @24 Says:

    What?
    You think that publicist has enough money to influence a major studio about how it markets a big budget film???
    LOLOLOL!!
    That has to be the dumbest, and most desperate angle that any delphite has taken.
    Come on. Try to retain a little dignity. You are wrong. Accept it.
    And again, please look upi the word ‘fact’. Your opinions are NOT facts. Not by a long shot. Especially when they are colored by our irrational hatred and bitterness.
    And 200 million is “tanking”? Wow. You could have fooled me.

  24. 24
    @LOL! Says:

    “Cinema’s least potent leading man, Orlando Bloom, stinks up the screen in Ridley Scott’s unsatisfying “epic” about the Crusades…”

    “Considerably more ambitious and significantly less satisfying than Gladiator.”

    “Since we barely know what’s at stake — we’re too confused and bored to care — all this fighting means nothing to us, and yet Scott still hopes to rev us up with it.”

    These are reviews from top critcs about KOH.

    Let’s not forget all of the reviewers that called him wooden and too feminine for the role.

  25. 25
    Look Alike Says:

    Is it me or does Logan look like Jennifer Aniston in that poster.
