Jake Gyllenhaal heads out for lunch with his brother-in-law Peter Sarsgaard on Sunday (June 12) in Venice, Calif.
The 30-year-old actor has been offered a lead role in the upcoming magician heist flick Now You See Me, according to Variety.
Fellow Academy Award nominee Jesse Eisenberg and Inglorious Bastards actress Melanie Laurent are in negotiations to star in the film as well.
Now You See Me “follows a group of the world’s greatest illusionists, who pull off daring bank heists during their performances, showering the profits on their audience. Eventually, the FBI gets involved, prompting a cat-and-mouse game between adversaries.”
FYI: Jake is wearing Hoyle Jackson pants.

OMG I didn’t know Jake was that short! Peter is around 5’10″ so that makes Jake 5’9″ tops. Okay that’s still taller than the GMD but his IMDB profile says he’s 6′. Does everyone in Hollywood lie about their height?
