Check out the official portrait of Prince William and his wife Kate for their official tour of the United States and Canada.
According to CBS, the couple, both 29, will begin their tour of Canada on June 30, and remain in the country for nine days. They will then travel to California for a short time, where they will visit schools and attend charitable events.
This will be the first trans-Atlantic trip for the married couple!
In an official statement, Prince William said, “Catherine and I are very much looking forward to our Tour of Canada. We hope to be able to meet as many people as possible and to see as much of the extraordinary and diverse country as we can.”
FYI: Kate is wearing an Amanda Wakeley navy skirt suit.

I would love to see them in Ottawa, but it’s not feasible for me to drive out 6 hrs to see them, then 6 hours back. Poo.

I wonder if it is weird for him to refer to her as catherine? It seems weird to me. Too forced. What is wrong with Kate? Queen Kate. I like it.

it really doesn’t matter what you like. in case you missed it, she publicly announced that she wants to be called Catherine, not Kate. William calls her Catherine as he has for a very long time.

They are such a lovely couple, and the queen must be thrilled. This is a new beginning for the Royal family, and will strengthen their position.
I agree with Friday. I think the older generation are the ones who are mostly comfortable being under the British monarch but people my age( I’m 21) do not get why the queen is still the head of state.
I can’t wait for their Canada trip!

@anne: I’m Canadian and most of the people I know agree with Friday. After Queen Elizabeth II passes is the right time for Canada to phase out the monarchy.

The picture is for their tour of Canada as a commonwealth nation and not the US too. It clearly says in their statement.
I agree with Friday – the cost of us supporting this “tour” is fewer teachers in schools, more homelessness, crowding in hospitals…
I am glad he married for love, I don’t to subsidize his honeymoon…
