Alicia Keys smiles as she hits the stage at the Pantages Theatre on Friday (June 24) in Hollywood, Calif.
The 30-year-old musician wrote to her Twitter followers and explained that she was in a Hollywood state of mind.
“last night was a spiritual experience! These Piano & I shows just keep getting better! LA!!!! Thank u 4 a TRUE connection. LOVE 4EVER!,” Alicia tweeted.
On Saturday evening, Alicia rehearsed for the BET Awards, which are set to air Sunday.

I agree with you, Alicia is a great talent, with beauty to boot.
But to answer your question: She’s black, they’re white.
You don’t have to have talent in this country to get promoted, if you are white.
@Jane you’re a racist what about people like Sidney Poitier and Denzel Washington are examples of how flawed that logic is. mind you Alicia isn’t proper for the stage of the pantages Theater which is a hollywood Icon where many great films and stars of yester year won Academy awards in that theater including Frank Sinatra Joanne Woodward Miyoshi Umeki Vivien Leigh David Niven ect
