Christina Hendricks wears Donna Karan New York on the cover of Lucky magazine’s August 2011 issue, on newsstands Tuesday (July 5).
Here’s what the 36-year-old Mad Men star had to share:
On dressing her famous curves: “I have to be careful about my proportions and keep it simple. What works for me is structure and something that shows my waist.”
On her least favorite outfit: “It’s really hard to find a bathing suit if you have breasts. You either get smooshed down or there’s no support. My husband and I have sketched out designs.”
On her go-to designers when on the red carpet: “Vivienne Westwood for drama, L’Wren Scott for her perfect tailoring and body consciousness and Zac Posen for whimsy.”
On why she, a natural blonde, dyed her hair at 10: “I was obsessed with Anne of Green Gables, so I wanted red hair. My mom said, ‘I’ll throw a rinse on it.’”

Totally feel for her on the bathing suit issue.. Im like a C cup and even I cant find nice bra / Bathing suite. It pisses me off that the fashion industry is what it is- THIN & ANTI-CURVY. People look at you oddly if you have boobs these days.. automatically they assume they are fake which is so frustrating.. anyway GO CHRISTINA for being a REAL CURVY WOMAN and not ASHAMED of it! :)

I agree. I have the same problem. I am thin with C-cup (maybe small D-cup) and I can’t find any clothes, not only bathing suits for my size. I can’t tell what cup she is but shopping must be terrible experience for her with those huge breasts. Designers seem to think that thin or medium sized women like Christina must have small breasts and if woman has bigger breasts she has to be deathly obese. Some critics are laughing at her red carpet outfits and I think they should congratulate her for finding anything. It’s not hard for Sienna Miller to be a fashion icon, for Christina it’s a challenge.

Sienna Miller is a naturally stylish person and Christina Hendricks isn’t. It’s got nothing to do with being thin or fat.
Her head is tiny in comparison to her body. Like jabba the hut.
