OlderZac Efron: Shirtless on Fourth of July!
Zac Efron celebrates Independence Day with a group of pals at a celebration on the beach on Monday (July 4) in Malibu, Calif.
The 23-year-old actor went shirtless and wore camouflage shorts for a party with friends.
Over the weekend, Zac came out for pal and High School Musical co-star Ashley Tisdale‘s 26th birthday, where he splashed in the water and even gave her a piggyback ride on the beach!
Zac was also recently spotted going out to lunch with friends at Umami Burger in Studio City, Calif.

No. I think what he did was completely inappropriate. I don’t think we can hate on him for having his shirt off at a beach party. Thats normal. I just wish he’d get to filming and we know for definite what films are being filmed when. Its so much less hassle when he’s away filming.
But, Ashley tweeted today to not believe the rumours and these pictures released (probably by Zac’s publicist) to deflect the attention away and to say “Look!. He’s not groping any of his female friends!”

This is remark is the crux of the problem. Zac isnt with Vanessa- for whatever reason- people hate that. The famewhore thing doesnt fly because hes just standing on a beach right here-with people nobody knows- and he got a zillion more remarks than Brad Pitt just did.
Prior to attending a friend’s B’day party and celebrating the 4th in public (gasp) he’s been largely MIA. Not much of a famewhore action- but that isnt really anybody’s issue- is it people?

@say what?: It isn’t about Vanessa and Zac. Vanessa is involved with someone now. No one gives Vanessa a hard time because 1. she and Josh are not all over each for the cameras. 2. Josh is a respected actor in the industry. It’s about the Ashley and Zac Show i.e. preening and posing for the cameras in an obvious PR set up. i’m surprised their publicist did get some slo-mo video shots and add some cheesy background music to complete the effect. It’s just ridiculous. And poor Ashley’s boyfriend oy vey. Everyone knows that Ashley and Zac are dating. Their just being called out for their tacky behaviour.

Z has spent the year turning into a frat boy and one thing is he’ll always have a huge following because of his body. I think he has always been concerned about his image and has chosen to become another Hollywood douche.
