“We’re here today to talk about a very serious issue,” the 30-year-old actor says in the beginning of the clip.

“Social networks are failing to meet the needs of an under served population … did you know that there’s no option to choose ‘friends with benefits’ as your relationship status?” he asks, while Mila questions why their voices are being denied.

Can these two have any less chemistry? If you saw no strings attached youve already seen this cr/p

# 4

@Yawn They may have the same theme but they are completely different. NSA was just BAD & barely funny at alll. This one actually looks promising, from the full trailer at least..

@Cody

You are absolutely right…lots of fun.

It opens a week after Harry Potter and the same week as Captain America. It’s a pretty congested time of year to try and put this one out there. It might have done better in the fall. Some industry experts believe the two stars keep plugging away at this over the top marketing because the studio knows the movie isn’t any good. Personally I think she’s better than a sex comedy, and I hope this movie doesn’t hurt her career if it is any good and flops. It very well might.

Screen Gems is a pretty small studio and no rom com is ever expected to do big business at the box office. They could be releasing it now just to have that alternative to the fanboys that will be lining up for the Capt America etc. And it could be the exact opposite. They have invested in this adverstising campaign because they believe in it. I know they’ve done a lot of advanced screenings of the film…more then usual, and that is normally only done to get a positive word of mouth out there.

Regardless I don’t think it will hurt Mila’s career at all, even if it does nothing at the box office. She is shooting MacFarlane’s Ted right now and will start shooting Sam Raimi’s OZ after that. She seems to be doing quite well.

@txr:
She was just nominated for a Golden Globe. She should be building off of that to be known as a versatile actress, if that is what she really wants. If may very well not be what direction she wants to take her career. I can understand her desire for something a little less challenging after Black Swan, but she lined up three straight non challenging roles. Amy Adams might do a Superman, but she’ll mix in The Fighter or Paul Thomas Anderson’s new one. Without those kinds of roles Kunis just becomes another Kate Hudson. Another actress who at one time who had a lot of potential, but became typecast and wasn’t getting thought of for the good scripts.

@JC

I think Mila is still early enough in her film career that it’s a bit much to be comparing what she is doing as opposed to Amy Adams, who has been established for several years now. Keep in mind last year Amy Adams also did a rom com that did nothing called “Leap Year” that tanked. Did that hurt her career?

All actresses, even A listers have to do rom coms if they want to be relevant. What you don’t want to do is have that become your only calling card, because that is how you become Hudson, and to a lesser extent Aniston. I would not call OZ a no challenging role. I still think for her age, and for how long she has been getting real opportunities in film Mila is doing fine. I get the concern, but I don’t think it is warranted at this point.
