David Beckham practices with Landon Donovan and his Galaxy teammates on Friday (July 8) in Carson, Calif.
The 36-year-old soccer star brought along his son Brooklyn, who skateboarded in the parking lot while his dad practiced with the team.
Later in the evening, David cleaned up and changed into formal wear to attend the British Consul-General’s reception for Prince William and his wife Kate in Los Angeles.
David is a close friend of the royal family and attended Will and Kate‘s wedding back in April.

I’m glad he got to see William and Kate — he had seemed disappointed before thinking he wouldn’t be able to while they were in town.
HE IS NOT A CLOE FRIEND – HE WASNT EVEN INVITED BUT WRANGLED A TICKET ALL FOR THE SAKE OF BECKHAM BRAND – DONT KNOW OF ANOTHER COUPLE GOING ON SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH ABOUT THEIR DAUGHTER TO BE – LIKE THE SECOND COMING – WILIAM GREETED A LOT OF PEOPLE BUT BECKHAM PR MADE SURE HIS PHOTO WAS SPLASHED – WHERE ARE THE VICTORIA BECKHAM DRESSES KATE WAS SUPPOSED TO WEAR?? JUST CASHING IN ON AN ENTIRELY NON FRIENDSHIP WITH THE COUPLE WHAT AN AWFUL COUPLE TO TRY AND GAIN FROM A BABY AND SUPPOSED FRIENDSHIP FROM A COUPLE
Those tattoos are disgusting. If I were one of his kids I would run shrieking for the hills every time I saw them!
I love David
He is not the one describing himself as a “close freind” and he has never described himself as such.
He is a fan of the Royal family and the monarchy (has always been ) and has had a working relationship with William who is President of the Football Association. He did not have to wrangle any ticket for a reception at the Consul-General’s residence.
He had an invitation to one of the events for Prince William and Kate or sure. It was most likely this one as security arrangements etc were in place for him in advance.
The tattoos make David look like “white trash”; no offense to anyone. But it takes away from his “dashing” or debonair image and persona. I think he is a great soccer player and has great fashion style. I like the way he dresses. But I wish he wouldn’t have gone crazy with the tattoos sleeves.
