Shia LaBeouf & Hilary Duff: Popstar Pics from 10 Years Ago!

Check out these pictures of Shia LaBeouf and Hilary Duff in Popstar! – a decade ago!

The scans come from the magazine’s August 2001 issue and shows the two former Disney stars, along with actress Kyla Pratt, having fun at Disney’s California Adventure.

Hilary opened up to the magazine about then boyfriend Aaron Carter, wanting Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears to guest star on Lizzie McGuire, and how she was dealing with her new-found fame.

Shia, meanwhile, chatted about working with Disney and his show Even Stevens.

Ten years later, Shia admitted that he once went out with Hil, but called it “probably the worst date either of us has ever had.” Eeks!

The rides ooh sweet! They all look very cute. I miss the innocent days of the early 2000s. The kids/teens in 2010 seem so horrible in talent and personal life. Kids were truly great. shia has transformed a lot, isn’t that kyla girl from 1 on 1? she looks way different! hil is married now <3.

Hilary was the best role model i could ever ask for as a little girl, and she still is. Hilary Duff- thank you for always being someone for everyone to look up to, once my role model, always my role model. :)

& as for Shia, he’s adorable and probably one of the best actors ever on Disney Channel, and even now in big screen movies.
I end with my favorite Shia clip from Even Stevens…

@Marisa: I couldn’t agree more!

They were and are cute! I loved Lizzie McGuire!

lol how cute! :)

@Marisa: Really, how old are you that you still need a celebrity role model? And what exactly does she teach you, how to get by with no talent? How not to look like a woman? Or how to be so desperate and grateful upon getting a marriage proposal that you give your fiance head in front of an audience of paparazzi?

Ow! Hilary is so cute! I loved her in Lizzie McGuire! The best Disney’s show.

Look Shia’s face on splash! hahaha
Amazing.

Ow, God! She was cute, but now she’s terrific!

Yes I watched Lizzie McGuire. Yes I thought Hilary Duff & Amanda Bynes presenting Tatu at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards, was simply outstanding. Yes I have Hilary Duff’s music albums. Yes I have her co-star Lalaine’s movies. Yes I was heartbroken about Lalaine’s felony arrest in 2007.

No I do not wax nostalgic over Disney’s yesteryeara. Even then, at that time, I found them too insipid, vapid and trite.

Disney could have been so much more, achieved so much more, but they were characteristically cowards.

Right now I’m in the middle of reading the just released July, 2011, US Department of Defense’s “Strategy for Operating in Cyberspace”, to make sure they (Government-Corporate partnerships), don’t plan to neuter the ‘Net down to mere pissy pablum. You probably should too — oh, wait, that’s not in your pay grade. O_O

See that’s what I mean, Disney pretty much failed their true Type A personalities, say like Britney and Christina and Lindsay, didn’t cultivate them to their highest potential..

I’m proud of rebels Selena and Miley. I like that Disney is at least ostensibly trying to be a bit bolder, now.

Shia LaBeouf is probably capable of accomplishing whatever goals he puts his mind to.

To be honest, I’m only 18 years old, and yes I STILL look up to some of the role models from my childhood. I grew up watching them, and they grew as I did too. I don’t think it’s wrong to look up to someone when they took the right path in life so far. In my opinion, you’re never too old to look up to a role model, but hey, that’s just me. I’m taking a positve road in life, you should try that. :)

omg I miss these shows! Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire, and The Proud Family were all such fun.

Wow, clearly Shia hasn’t learned not to “kiss and tell”!
