Colin Farrell in 'Total Recall' - Official First Look!

Colin Farrell finds himself in a bit of trouble in this official first look from Total Recall.

The picture, featured in EW (via The Film Stage), is giving fans a sneak peek while the 35-year-old actor films the action thriller in Canada.

Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, and Ethan Hawke also star in the flick directed by Kate‘s husband, Len Wiseman.

Colin told EW that “the tone will be much less jokey” than Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s 1990 version and won’t be “as much tongue-in-cheek.”

I’m a big fan of Len Wiseman as a director and Kate is always a beauty to watch on the big screen . I just hope this remake is alot better than the first with Arnold, because that movie was awful but not awfully funny.

The first Total Recall was a great movie. It has some of the best action and fight scenes in movie history. Movies today are barely as good, choreographed and coordinated with style as those scenes were. If anyone can do a remake then the Director: Len Wiseman and his wife (who he had an affair with, she was married to someone else on Underworld 1) can do it. It’s amazing how things have worked out in a positive light for them. They chose all the right directions for their lives.

“Len Wiseman and his wife (who he had an affair with, she was married to someone else on Underworld 1)”

Kate Beckinsale was never married to Michael Sheen, and their relationship had been in bad shape for months before she met Len Wiseman. They were essentially staying together for the sake of their daughter, and that’s never a good situation.

As for the original Total Recall, it’s a fun popcorn film. But it was cheesy and filled with some hammy acting and over the top dialogue. As for the remake, from everything I’ve read it’s really nothing like the original, except in terms of the story. It’s more like a Minority Report or Inception in it’s tone.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!

This is bad muju man, and I’ll have none of it! There is a reason why no one from the cast of Ballykissangel ever made it to the big time, and that is because NONE OF THEM WERE ANY GOOD!

Please Mr Wiseman, use your computer, look at the many thousands of comments from people who say this film is a bad idea!

If you want to re-make it, why not just tar it with the 3D brush like all the other unoriginal directors out there and then re-release it (Yes James that’s you…).

As for those people should who though In Bruges was good, you should be ashamed! All Farrell did was rip Dougal from Father Ted, or was he playing himself? Hmmmmm……..
