    Uhmm, dude. Your facts aren’t right. Check back on the source.

    It grosses $475M in less than week. THAT’s 475, not 293.

    That’s almost half a billion.

    Only Harry could do that.

  • Ron Loyola

    And it’s $168M in the US, not $163M.

    Thanks. =)

  • Yasmin

    That proves (even if it doesn’t need to be proven), ONCE AGAIN, that Harry Potter >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rebecca Black >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Twilight.

    IN YOUR FACE GOLDEN BLACK BLUE EYED SPARKLING NON-ABLETOCREATESPERMBUTSTILLHAVEBABIES F*CKING VAMPIRES !

  • Holic

    @Holic: WE CAN’T EVEN SEE WHERE IS TWISHIT BECAUSE IT’S TOO F*CKING FAR AWAY FROM HP SORRY.

  • toria

    I think Alan Rickman deserves an Oscar nomination for Snape. He is a tremendous actor anyhow, but he brought such depth to a character that could have been so one dimensional. Over the last decade or so it was fantastic that all of the actors (well except for Dumbledore) stayed with the project. From the main three to Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman and all of the supporting cast.
    Kudos for keeping the series real and true.

    WE CAN’T EVEN SEE WHERE IS TWISHIT BECAUSE IT’S TOO FAR AWAY FROM HARRY POTTER WOW

    I saw it TWICE. It was amazing!

    i love Harry Potter and horible bosses
    jen anston rocks

  • Toni

    @blah: What are you talking about?
    Anyways happy to see them do well and JJ the numbers WW are wrong. They made 475 million WW more than any other movie heck they made 100 million more than the last record holder and made 168 million in the US 10 million more than the last record holder.
    Also to people who think it’s just gonna end this week, the HP fans will be back the next week and ride this movie out. They show up after the first week sales and keep the movie in theaters.

  • passby

    Okay…Horrible boss is not a maniston movie…I know you want to believe that and go ahead and believe that. She is not the star in the movie…the three guys are the stars. So go ahead Maniston lovers and be delusional and believe that…at best she is just a supoorting actress and that’s where the credit goes!

  • quit hating and comparing

    i love harry potter thought it was fab but do you have to bring in twilight they are nothing alike . quit hating on twilight and just focus on harry potter .

  • Aniston NOT a lead!

    Jennifer Aniston was only in the movie 20 minutes, how can it be her movie? What about the other two male leads? The media feeds us this crap about her all the time!

  • jacqueline

    YES!! Harry Potter DESERVES IT! I watched it on friday and cried my heart out, it was MAGICAL!
    It’s amazing how there is no competition between Harry Potter and the other movies, HP just smashes ‘em all!

  • Ann

    LOL pleaaaseee Twilight-BREAKING DAWN 1 PART IT”S NOT OUT YET!!
    And this is the final movie in the HP series so..
    we’ll see when Breaking Dawn Part 2 ,the final movie comes out!!!
    For the moment ,barely in november breaking Dawn part 1 comes out,we’ll see what happens!!:D:

  • Ron Loyola

    @Ann
    Boo, you whore.

  • Ron Loyola

    @Ann

    Boo, you W.H.O.R.E.

  • Toni

    @Ann: oh please stop making excuses. Twilight only breaks midnight and day records. They can’t even get opening weekend and the movies haven’t even gotten close to Harry Potters biggest grossing movies. The fans dont even show up after the first week because they want to have first week sales that bad, but they cant even finish off better than them. This movie saw all HP fans coming out even the ones that didn’t show up to all the other movies. I wasn’t even trying to compare the two and ignore it.

  • jacqueline

    @Ann: Oh yeah, we’ll see Twilight get the usual bad reviews and not be anywhere as brilliant as Harry Potter. I don’t know why you bother coming here just to talk about crappy Twilight

  • lucy

    @Ann:

    Even if Twilight breaks Harry Potter’s box office record (which I HIGHLY doubt), The Dark Knight Rises will definitely shatter that Twilight’s record.

  • Jess

    Harry Potter is saving the economy, one movie ticket at a time

  • Alex

    Brazilians hate harry potter

  • Blueberry

    @toria:

    The original Dumbledore, Richard Harris, passed away. He didn’t leave the show.

    SNAPE for an OSCAR!

  • jacqueline

    @Alex: No, we LOVE it.

  • Melissa

    I was very disappointed in the final HP movie. I have been a devoted fan of the books and the movies have been ok, but they could have added so much more than they did. I was hoping to see more interaction between Hagrid and the Death Eaters in the forest. They didn’t show Grawp, the centaurs, and so many other things. I was hoping for better.

  • camilla
  • Marisa

    The final movie was EPIC!! It is now my favorite movie of ALL time! It was just that emotional and perpetually driven for a great conclusion. I will be going to see it again! :)

  • Sean

    @Ron Loyola: What do you want me to read in that article? Did you want me to read how 61% of the box office came from 3D? Like I said, TDK reached the record without the use of that gimmicky 3D. And I’m glad Nolan isn’t going to do that crap for cheap numbers for part 3.

  • emily

    not only was it an amazing installment in the series, but it was an amazing film, period! well done to the trio, the “davids”, j.k. rowling & wb!

  • Tommy Boy

    @passby:

    The 3 STARS OF THE FILM ARE THE SUPPORTING PLAYERS: KEVIN SPACEY, JENNIFER ANISTON AND COLIN FARRELL. Bateman, Sudekis and Day are the LEADS OF THE FILM but they are not the real stars.

    However, COLLECTIVELY, they all share in the success of Horrible Bosses. And it was one Jennifer’s best reviewed film since The Good Girl. Deal with it!

  • http://@bookmoviestuff Lyra Belacqua

    The people on this thread are retarded. What does it have to do with Twilight or Jennifer Anniston?

    It’s about Harry Potter.

  • http://@bookmoviestuff Sayer

    The avg budget for HP movies is $250 mil.

    Budget for Twilight movies is about $55 mil.

  • http://@bookmoviestuff Sayer

    @jacqueline: Tell that to the people here who brought up Twilight for NO REASON at all.

    Why did Harry Potter fans have to mention Twilight when the post is about HP?

  • Tommy Boy

    @Lyra Belacqua:

    You dumb twit. Read the full article. They mentioned that Horrible Bosses came in 3rd. Or should we just talk about Harry Potter? Sheesh!

  • aquarius64

    Summit must be sweating bullets about Breaking Dawn, after seeing the first Harry Potter numbers. The two-part Twilight finale costed 263 million to make, 75 million went to the upfront salaries of the three leads at 25 million a piece. Pattinson, Stewart and Lautner also get a cut of door receipts as well (2.5% total). Summit has a highly vested interest in its success to see any profit for itself.
