Looking forward to the episode of DDD next Sunday. Josh Berman had great things to say about Clay’s acting ability and called him a natural. I understand Clay will be a villian in his guest role. Clay made the panel discussion very interesting.

I was lucky enough to be at Outfest and the Drop Dead Diva preview and panel. It was great to see Clay and the others. It was interesting to see the mutual respect for each other. And Clay did get great comments from both the creator of the show and director. They said he was a talented actor, a real natural.

Thanks for posting the pictures of Clay.

Just for those who may go looking for the episode at DDD’s site – it wasn’t the premiere. It’s the 5th episode, and has not aired yet. It will air this coming Sunday, 7-24, and will be available online at the show’s site a couple of days later.

What a great entertainer! Loved the Hoarder episode. Tori….you are too funny! And, gosh! You picked the best gay of all! I’d pick him too….

Looking forward to seeing Clay on DDD. I love the show and love the fact they cast Clay as a villain.

  • TM

Saw Clay on The Talk yesterday and he talked about retiring. Looks like he prefers gay activism to singing. Didn’t he use to work with the special needs community? Now there is a group who could really use his voice.

  • Jan

This looks like it is going to be a great episode. I am really looking forward to it. Reports from Outfest were that the directors and producers of Drop Dead Diva were very impressed with his acting. They said he is a natural. Thanks for the great photos!

TM – He still works with special needs kids thru his foundation called The National Inclusion Project. Great program. He is also an ambassador for UNICEF and has traveled for them. He continues to use his voice.

  • TM

Oh OK Jan. I work with the special needs community and I can’t think of him participating in anything related to the community.

  • Mary

So happy that Clay has been such an advocate of gay rights and bullying. He definitely walks the walk. Loved The Talk and the FOD Hoarders video. Can’t wait for DDD. Clay is just too cute for words.

Can’t wait to see him on DDD.
Hadn’t ever watched the show until this season. But, because I knew he’d be on, I started watching–really am enjoying it.

  • reality

I love Clay! Haven’t seen him in forever…thanks for the pictures Jared. I guess I’m going to have to watch DDD now:)

  • Doreen

Clay is still very active in helping special needs kids through the charitiy he created – The National Inclusion Project. No reason Clay can’t support more than one worthy cause.

  • Jacqueline

Thank you for sharing this story JJ. Clay looks great and I’m looking forward to watching Drop Dead Diva.

TM – Clay has been working with that community since he was in high school. He set up his foundation right after he left Idol, in the summer of 2003. His foundation is recognized nationally as a major leader in the effort. Annually he expands the influence and activity across more states and works with such places as Johns Hopkins Hospital. Clay graduated from the University of NorthCarolina at Charlotte in 2003 with a degree in Special Education. He has actually taught classes for children with autism. He was appointed to a membership on President Bush’s committee to study the Intellectual Disability matters

I just wanted you to know Clay, and his fans, are very much active in the special needs community. We are happy you are there as well.

  • Jackie

Clay Aiken has done many great things since 2003. What is the GLAAD Committee waiting for to give this man an award?
