OlderAlexander Skarsgard: Honorary Doctorate Degree!
Alexander Skarsgard receives an honorary doctorate degree in the arts from Leeds Metropolitan University on Wednesday (July 20) in Leeds, England.
The 34-year-old True Blood actor is one of nine honorees to have a degree bestowed, including BBC Look North‘s Harry Gration and rugby player Ikram Butt; Alex studied English at LMU after leaving the Swedish military back in 1996.
In addition to the nine honorees, more than 5,000 students are graduating from the university this week!

As much as I LOVE Alexander Skarsgard… I hate honorary doctorates! All they serve to do is crap on the hard work of people who have actually slugged it out for years completing real work!

it’s more to do with raising the profile of Leeds Met, they find successful former students to show to potential future students what they can achieve. Everyone knows that an honorary degree is not a real degree
