'Glee' Cast Not Leaving Show After Graduation!

Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Chris Colfer will NOT be leaving Glee after their graduation at the end of season three, according to executive producer Brad Falchuk.

“Here’s the exact thing: They’re seniors. They’re graduating. But that doesn’t mean they’re leaving the show,” Brad said (via Deadline) during the show’s Comic-Con 2011 panel. “It was never our intention or plan to let these people go… They are not done with the show after this season.”

Brad also confirmed that Chord Overstreet will not be returning for the third season.

“He decided he would have opportunities elsewhere that he would like to pursue, and we can’t force him to work. We told him to go with god,” he said.

Other highlights from the panel: A spinoff in New York City with Rachel and Kurt will not be happening, Mercedes will have a boyfriend next season, and a tribute episode may happen in the season’s second half!

This is so stupid. They drum up publicity by saying they are leaving and then turn around and chicken out. I was going to applaud this show for taking a risk but I guess not.

The lying is just ridiculous. Chord’s tweet proved he was “let go”, and Leo, Cory and Chris found out through the media. They didn’t have to tact to let them know directly. Chris himself said that he has to move on. That is very different from the chracters “graduating but remaining on the show”. Obviously the pressure from the fans made them re-think the stupid decision.

I meant to say Lea instead of Leo, sorry.

@Ben:I do too ;)

i think they are disrespectful to lea, chris and cory, they work very hard on the serie, dance numbers, recording songs and the tour to discover their future on internet.
i wish them the best and hope to see lea and chris doing more movies.

they planned on getting rid of them, but changed their minds after they saw the reaction. now they’re trying to backtrack and pretend they never meant it at all.
i wish lea and chirs the best and will support them and their other projects.

What are they planning? The College Years? or do they expect they will all get jobs mentoring the Glee club? This is not going to work. They are high schoolers, let them graduate and move on. Introduce us to some new Freshman. And let the show continue with the new people.

i cant believe people still care about this lame-ass show.

Glee has been great at sending a positive message out about gay kids but they are still 4x more likely to commit suicide.

If you are a bullied gay teen, please visit SueYourSchool.com for information about how you can fight back and maybe get millions of dollars in return!

Ooouch! It’s never good to have an employer say “go with God”. Something must have happened behind the scenes (salary dispute?). But that’s a pretty nasty send-off.

@Sue Your School: Yah, that’s the ticket is sue-happy, money grubbing America. Nice message.

I love all three of them on the show, but I was actually looking forward to them leaving Glee and expanding on their own careers.

I think it’s better for the storyline for them to be let go. I mean, honestly, I don’t see the show lasting for longer than three seasons. They win nationals, and then what? It will get boring.

Glee does nothing but re-inforce stereotypes about gays, lesbians, overweight people, religious people, the list goes on. Ryan Murphy cares about nothing but money.

Who cares about this lame overrated show?

Thumb up Thumb down -2

Glee is full of lame publicity
