OlderKristen Stewart: 'Snow White' at Comic-Con!
Kristen Stewart smiles for the spectators at the Snow White and the Huntsman panel discussion for Comic-Con 2011 on Saturday (July 23) in San Diego, Calif.
The 21-year-old actress was joined by her Snow White co-stars Charlize Theron, Chris Hemsworth, and Sam Claflin.
When asked about the character, Kristen said, “She’s got this amazing ability to channel fear…She doesn’t let her mind get in the way of doing things she feels strongly about. Also, I get to have a sword and stuff.”
Charlize even joked around with Kristen, saying she though the Twilight star would “give me a run for my money. And I’m ready for it, b—-, let’s go.”

The only time she smiles is when she’s promoting something?
I hate it when people especially stress her smiling. I mean she has dozens of smiling photos. It is not her fault if the sites purposely choose her non smiley pics. As for the movie, I’m very excited to see it. It has great cast!
Kristen is a beautiful and talented girl. I love the cast.
I like this female empowerment fairy tale spin more than the classic retelling aka Disney version. If I wanted to watch a Disney retelling I would pop in my Disney DVD. The acting would be far more superior, anyways.
I can’t believe they are making Charlize Theron be the jealous queen. I mean Charlize looks like a goddess to me, she is soooo beautiful. Not to be mean I think she is more beautiful than Kristen Stewart.
This Snow White film will be ridiculous. The thought of Kristen Stewart fighting with a sword is laughable and the promo pics are just bad.

So excited for one of the cartoons I grew up on to be made into a Hollywood movie. Regardless of the cast and regardless of the promo clips, it’s going to be awesome to see a professional rendition of the story in live action. SO EXCITED.

The promos look… black. Just black. Not dark, edgy, or cool… just black. How is this a fairy tale Snow White? Might as well made up another movie not using Snow White.

Kristen is classically beautiful. She is also young, 11 years younger than Charlize. So if we deem that being young is beautiful, since beauty is subjective, Kristen IS considered more beautiful than Charlize based purely on age. Being a good person on the inside also signifies beauty, and Snow White is a young girl without vanity. Charlize’s character is murderous, narcissistic, and jealous, which all makes her character a much uglier-er person than Snow White.
The cast is great but I dont see Kristen as Snow white.. in fact I couldnt see Kristen in any of the roles shes played i.e. Bella, Joan Jett, Mallory, Melinda Sorindino..
I hate it because I keep thinking she is going to prove herself.. but she never does.
I her they are making a Trilogy out of this… Count me out.

What are you talking about? Joan Jett, Mallory, and Melinda were some of her best performances in her career! I’m pretty sure Joan Jett and Mallory helped her get nominated for the rising star bafta and eventually twilight help her get the win. if she didn’t have those performances, the bafta committee may thought she was only a good child actress. the indie role in twilight really catapulted her into a-list status, not just a one hit wonder child actress.

Charlize’s character is the villain who murders young girls to steal their youth. Kstew’s character is a caring young girl who is also brave and kind. It is her actions in the end that makes her beautiful and no matter how beautiful Charlize’s character is on the outside, her ugly thoughts shows through.
If anything, this movie teaches us that it is what’s inside that makes a person beautiful. These fairy tales reimagining that uses a conventionally beautiful actress to play the female lead is sending a bad message to young girls that being good looking gets you the prince and makes you the hero. Being kind hearted and brave does that and an actress that’s not known for her beauty be the hero is so refreshing.
