OlderChristian Bale: 'Dark Knight Rises' in Pittsburgh
Christian Bale walks around the set of The Dark Knight Rises on Saturday (July 30) in Pittsburgh, Penn.
The 37-year-old actor, who stars as Bruce Wayne and Batman in the film, was on hand while extras dressed in orange jumpsuits shot a prison scene.

On Thursday, Christian and director Christopher Nolan attended a brief news conference where they praised Pittsburgh.
“It’s a very beautiful city on a very impressive scale and that hasn’t lost its human scale,” Christopher said. “That is very impressive and very hard to find.”
The Dark Knight Rises, which co-stars Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, and Marion Cotillard, will hit theaters July 20, 2012!

I’m sorry, I’m so over Bale as Batman. He’s just bearable if his Batman doesn’t talk, but when he does, it’s so painful. Ledger’s Joker overshadowed him in the last one. How long before we can be done w/ Nolan and Bale and get another Batman? I mean, yeah, it’ll survive because of all the comic book fanboys, but as to quality, it’s not there.
BTW, I suspect Bale is the subject of Lainey’s blind item “three weeks on a friend’s couch”. I think he’s the method actor that cheated w/ a co-star, then dumped her when his wife came to set, like nothing happened.
