James Franco smiles as he leaves NBC Studios on Monday (August 1) in New York City after making an appearance on the Today show.
The 33-year-old actor chatted about his latest film, Rise of the Planet of the Apes!

“It’s not so much of a freakout movie…it has great action, but it’s a little bit of a character piece!” James said of the film, which also stars Freida Pinto.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes hits theaters on Friday (August 5).
