On not wanting to be a celebrity: “I never wanted to be a celebrity; I never wanted to be famous. And in my daily life, I work really hard to not trade on it in any way. I am so desperately worried about anybody saying, ‘She cut in line’ or ‘She took our table’ or She got out of jury duty’ or ‘She doesn’t do her own grocery shopping.’ The things that bother me are counter to who I am and the way I live. It’s not like it’s hard to be decent and respectful and well-behaved. I do wait in line, and I do take the subway, and I do do my own grocery shopping, and I do take the kids to school.”

Oh, I’m so tired of seeing the same faces on the magazine covers. There are many new, talented and interesting actresses nowadays. Why not put those fresh faces or those actresses who rarely appear on the magazine covers?!

She comes from a very humble background and has said in many interviews she does not have live in help and trys to make her children’s lives as normal as possible. You never see her and Matthew out all of the time at parties. I admire her for how she is in her everyday life.
Didn’t she make an effort to say she wanted her kids to have a public school education? That’s respectable of her.

@Jess: being famous doesnt always equate with being rich. Im pretty sure shes not complaining about having money she’s saying she’s not into the “diva personality” that a lot of celebrities have where they require someone at their feet 24/7 and not having to wait for anything.
