Andy Cohen: Seven Figure Advance for Memoir

Andy Cohen has scored a seven-figure advance for his forthcoming memoir.

The Bravo exec, host of Watch What Happens Live, and BFF of Sarah Jessica Parker has teamed up with Henry Holt and will debut the book in the summer of 2012.

A source told THR that publishers hope the book will resonate with “housewives who think Andy is their gay best friend.”

Andy will cover growing up as a gay teen in St. Louis in the ’70s and ’80s as well as how pop culture inspired his career.

WILL YOU READ Andy Cohen’s memoir when it’s released next summer?

I hate this guy and his lazy eye!!!! >_<

First thing to go should be the Real Housewives of Wherever. Gotta be a numbskull to watch old maids clucking and hissing. LMAO

Andy Cohen is a woman hater and he has set the gay movement back years with his faggy voice and hosting.

I actually love Andy — though I understand some of the first comments — but no way could he earn a seven figure ADVANCE. No way!

ANDY IS MORALLY BANKRUPT @ 08/09/2011 at 3:53 pm

Andy Cohen and the other Bravo execs are disgustingly cynical. With the Housewives franchise they have showed their low opinion of the audience by betting that people would watch this crap. The saddest part is that they were right and they are making mountains of money out of it.
Another step in the dumbing down of America.

Andy Cohen used his show to flaunt his being gay. He should write a book with more substance than trying to profit off his lifestyle. He is nasty.

i love andy cohen! @ 08/09/2011 at 10:45 pm

Well, speaking from the heart, I love Andy Cohen for the simple fact that Cohen and Bravotv provided me, and people like me, with programs that are dramatic, hilarious, crazy, and most of all “entertaining!” Although some programs may be scripted, and others not, it is still 400% better than the nighttime dramas and network tv sitcoms coming on this fall! I mean, have you seen the shows on tv now??? I love the housewives, flipping out, basketball wives, and all the other good reality tv shows. And if you want a recommendation of the best: Housewives of NJ! That show isn’t scripted. It is hilarious –> the Guidices are amazing and the families are so real. It’s great.

Andy Cohen was RIGHT! @ 08/10/2011 at 8:51 am

The nitwits who watch Bravo’s garbage are soooo happy with it and they soooo deserve it.
Kudos Andy. You prove yet again that it is impossible to overestimate the stupidity of the RH viewers.
