OlderHunter Parrish: Jesus in Broadway's 'Godspell'!
Hunter Parrish will be heading back to Broadway to play Jesus in the revival of the musical Godspell!
“I am elated to be joining the Godspell family, and honored to be a part of bringing this thrilling classic back to Broadway,” the 24-year-old Weeds actor said in a statement. “I knew after meeting with the creative team that I was going to be a part of something really exciting. I can’t wait to get started.”
Hunter previously appeared on Broadway in Spring Awakening.
Godspell, which features music by Wicked‘s Stephen Schwartz, uses “improvisation and contemporary themes to illustrate the parables, [bringing] these lessons to life through the grand tradition of musical theatre.”

Considering there is a good chance that Jesus Christ Superstar might get revived on Broadway, I don’t know if this particular Jesus will be as popular.
