Ryan Gosling: Rose Byrne Joins 'Place Beyond the Pines'

Ryan Gosling rides a motorcycle on the set of his latest film, The Place Beyond the Pines, on Monday (August 8) in New York.

On Friday, the 30-year-old actor got to work on the crime drama shooting some scenes with co-star Eva Mendes.

NY Mag reports that Bridesmaids and Damages star Rose Byrne will be joining the Derek Cianfrance-directed flick.

The 32-year-old actress replaces Greta Gerwig, who was supposed to play the wife of a police officer turned politician (Bradley Cooper), but had to drop out due to a schedule conflict.

I don’t get why Ryan Gosling is randomly popular, he seems boring and he looks like a foot. Kind of like a male Sarah Jessica Parker, except at least SJP can act. What does he have besides having starred in one of the worst movies of all time, otherwise known as The Notebook?

I don’t think Ryan Gosling passes as a tattooed tough guy. He just looks way too feminine to me. Maybe it’s the chiseled little nose job, which IMO took away the male ruggedness of his face.

Rose Byrne! Ahhh! She’s amazing! And with Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper, this movie is going rock!! In my opinion though, now that Byrne has joined the cast, they should pair Gosling with Byrne and Cooper with Eva Mendes. Obviously they can’t do it now since they’ve started filming, but since Gosling and Byrne are closer in age, they would’ve made a great couple. And Cooper and Mendes and closer in age, so they too would have been great.
