OlderSimon Cowell & Paula Abdul: 'X Factor' Promo Shots!
Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, L.A. Reid, and Steve Jones pose together for these new promo shots for their upcoming competition series, The X Factor.
The 51-year-old former American Idol judge recently said that he felt The X Factor would have been canceled if Paula had not signed on.
“At one point, when [Paula's] deal came down to the 11th hour, I remember saying to the team, ‘If she’s not there, you may as well cancel filming.’ I really felt that strongly that I wanted her with me,” Simon said.
FYI: Nicole is wearing Ruthie Davis “Implant” heels.
The X Factor premieres on September 21 on Fox.

I hope they still bring her in as a guest judge one day as well as Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh from the UK X Factor.

This is so overhyped. I don’t buy into this franchise one bit. Maybe I’ll watch clips of Paula’s drunken trainwreck moments, but other than that…..the winner won’t be relevant for more than a month.

I hope this show fails. No Cheryl Cole No XFactor. Even Simon and Paula aren’t enough to make me watch it and I usually love Saula. Simon did Cheryl wrong. What was the deal about her accent? People can’t even understand what Paula says half the time. lol
i think cheryl would’ve rocked xfactor. simon was somewhat predictable when picking the judges. while he was playing coy, we all new that paula would be on this show after that dance show she had bombed. so wtf ever simon.

Too many Judges and we already have too many singing shows.
The Voice is better. Far more original, creative, and less harsh on the contestants.
Love it! I have been waiting for this. X Factor is a great show and I’m glad they finally decided to bring it to the states. I think the judges are great and I like seeing Simon and Paula together again! Can’t wait!
I think it is going to be a fun show and I am looking forward to it. I like all the judges…it will be great to see what singers they pick. Nice to see Simon and Paula again.
I would watch this show just for Steve Jones. He’s one tall drink of spunk.

ok, heres the deal, Paula was never drunk on American Idol. She was in an airplane accident way back when, and as a result, has had to go through many neck/back surgeries. She has to take medication, which sometimes makes her a bit dizzy. Yes, you can go off talking about that magazine that she was in a long time ago SAYING she was drunk or whatever it was on Idol, but she then came back and said that none of that was true and that the magazine had basically manipulated what she said, the way many tabloids do with other celebrities. Please don’t make conclusions about people when you don’t know the real truth. And if you don’t have anything nice to say to or about somebody, please don’t say anything. It only makes them feel worse about themselves, especially when it’s not true. And I, for one, am so excited to see this show, and cannot wait to see Saula reunited again!!
