This Political Correctness of apologizing for everything is gonna have a backlash…Besides these groups are just making Money by claiming to be offended…gay card anyone?
Politically correctness already has a backlash; more and more people are stifling their REAL feelings. Another is, people are losing their sense of humor. There are some things said that are just down right hateful and I don’t condone that type of behavior, but neither is it a crime. We all have our own opinions, but keep tamping down peoples’ opinions and THAT will be the crime.

It’s a good thing to remember, just because someone doesn’t say something, doesn’t mean they don’t FEEL it or believe it. So, by wrangling an apology from someone of a differing opinion, doesn’t change that opinion. Sometimes people are just too thin skinned.

We’ve all had the fantasy that Free speech is Free. There is no such thing; All speech carries with it some type of effect; whether it’s to YOUR good or bad depends on who it offends and their power to impact you negatively. Some people have lost their jobs because of things they have said. We’re not talking about things that lead to hate crimes; just things someone or some group has deemed politically incorrect; or something that hurt their feelings.

We all need to be able to laugh at ourselves. Common sense will tell you that almost anything can be offensive to SOMEONE; we just need to know where there is a real battle to fight because fighting EVERYTHING assures nothing is important.
