Emma Stone on 'Sesame Street' - FIRST LOOK!

Check out this sneak peek of Emma Stone on Sesame Street!

The 22-year-old actress will be making an appearance on the children show’s 42nd season with Abby Cadabby, a fairy-in-training who moved to the famous block from Fairside, Queens.

Emma is also currently in talks to join the cast of Gangster Squad, where she’d team up with her Crazy, Stupid, Love co-star Ryan Gosling.

She would play Jean, a sharp-tongued siren caught in a love triangle with Ryan and Sean Penn‘s characters, according to Variety.

Looks like Stone went blond just in time for TR6-5000′s big mummy revelation. The silly girl from Scottsdale just can’t lose no matter how hard she tries; Vis a vis that 666 puppet who greets the two witnesses at the Hilton Hotel circa 1985. Who then later shows us how ugly she used to look.

As much as I genuinely like Emma Stone something about her just seems too humorous and youthful to take seriously outside of comedic scenarios. Even in Crazy.Stupid.Love. she was a solid actress, completely alive everywhere but in romantic settings especially those with sexual context. As soon as things became more adult “romantic” she became distant, borderline awkward and I was practically praying nothing sexual would happen because I would have been way more uncomfortable than she looked, feeling as if a teenager was targeted by a Lothario rather than a willing law student. I’m sorry, I really wouldn’t be able to watch Sean Penn or any older actor in a love triangle with her because she comes off as a teenager. Further I think her dramatic acting is dubious as best. Just my thoughts.

yeah im not so sure about emma in the gangster squad…i mean i love her in comedies, and while it is good to branch out, im just not sure if she has the right talent for it. but if she continues with comedy she will surely be the queen!

Sigh; Sean Penn is actually Stone’s perfect romantic latter-day threeway co-star. Because he is now entering into his miraculous 50s period when the real men misfits were always matched up with my future hotissima teenager wives in movies like Shampoo, Looking For Mr Goodbar [Snickers] and Some Like it Hot meets The Odd Couple.

Emma is a cool actress that’s still finding her feet. She’s only 22, when most college graduate are just finding their career. You’re just not used to seeing her in more adult roles. Easy A has her paired up with Penn Badgeley in a high school movie. Lucky for you, she has ruled out nudity for now. But all actresses will have to do nude scenes to become well respected.

@FFer I absolutely understand what you’re saying and normally I would agree but age isn’t my issue with her acting, in fact I could care less if they cast a teenager in the role as long as she didn’t have that, for lack of a better word “Emma Stone demeanor”. There was something about those young actresses and even some today; they have an air about them that you don’t question and certainly doesn’t make you uncomfortable. Unfortunately I don’t believe Emma Stone has that. In addition, Sean Penn in an almost imposing, sure-footed actor that needs anyone opposite of him to hold their own- I can’t really see him compromising his character to make up for the unintentional (most certainly detrimental) detachment , and infelicitousness Emma’s non-comedic acting presents. I should however note she probably will get the part since she worked with the director before and she’s beem labeled an ‘it’ girl…just the way Hollywood works. I just know I won’t see it because it would make me uncomfortable and who wants that? Cheers!

All actresses need to do nudity to be respected has to be the most idiotic thing I have read on this sight. And that is saying something.

I do feel she still has to prove herself in roles other than comedy……however, I have not seen “The Help” so I cannot really judge her. I think that she is young and has plenty of room to grow into other roles. Lets see what she does with “Gangster Squad”, she would be working with Gosling and he seems to work well with her.

i have seen The Help twice and my friends/family and i agree that emma’s performance (while still really good) is the weakest of the bunch. she just isn’t up to par with viola, octavia, bryce dallas howard, and jessica chastain. but i dont think it was all her…her character didn’t have as much depth as the others, she still did a fine job and the film itself is wonderful, but like i said she was definitely the weakest.
