Emile Hirsch recovers after having his wisdom teeth removed recently – and, of course, documents the experience as he wakes up from sedation!
The 26-year-old actor, who will hit the big screen next in the dramedy Killer Joe, spouted gems including, “I want to be, like, take me to the unicorn, girl! No I don’t” and “We haven’t started [the wisdom teeth removal] yet?!” after the procedure was already over.

What a pointless video..Too bad he was video taped partying with that loser Lohan. I lost respect for that guy and I’m sure I’m not the only one..

Wait a minute. They give you anesthesia? I didn’t get any anesthesia when I had my wisdom teeth pulled. Maybe that’s why the experience was so horrible.
why do they have to put you in anesthesia, in america, to get your wisdom tooth or teeth pulled?? in here (the czech republic) they just give you local anesthesia around your wisdom tooth and after a few minutes, when you don’t feel anything, they take it out! without any sedation, any pain!!!

I didn’t have total anesthesia either… Just a local anesthesia…. I don’t think it has anything to do with living in the Czech Republic, but more a case of whether the patient has an anxiety/fobia for dentitsts and such… ;) Hirsh probably had the option choosing one out two, lol! And if you have all wisdom teeth taken out at once,- which is not the smartest thing to do, because it will give you 4 times more pain afterwards! – you might need a full anesthesia….
I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth taken out and I was put under. One was impacted which means it hadn’t come above the surface and was growing sideways in the gum so I’m guessing that’s why I was put under. I don’t even remember how I got from the office to the car to go home. I just remember asking them to call my husband so he can pick me up and next thing I knew I was walking upstairs to my bed.
It depends on what you chose. In France (my country) you can chose if you want a local anesthesia (and, in this case, you do it just in your dentist office (?)), OR, you can chose to go to the hospital, you get a total anesthesia, you wake up a few hours later, and that’s it. You get the same reaction Emile Hirsch had.
