Sarah Michelle Gellar Covers 'Entertainment Weekly'
Sarah Michelle Gellar graces the cover of Entertainment Weekly‘s latest issue, on newsstands Friday (August 26)!
Here’s what the 34-year-old star of Ringer had to share:
On why Ringer works for her: “Ringer is the perfect balance of what audiences want to see me do. It’s Cruel Intentions meets Buffy.”
On not wanting to be typecast: “That was a bit of a letdown for me after Buffy. I thought, The [movie] roles are going to be just like Buffy. You’re not going to get stuck playing ‘the girlfriend’ or ‘the wife,’ you’re going to get these three-dimensional characters. But truthfully, those roles are very rare. It’s a better time for actresses on TV than on film.”
On taking a break to spend time with her daughter, Charlotte: “I got to see the first step, hear the first word. Most people – and certainly many working moms – are not lucky enough to get that. I wanted to appreciate the fact that I had worked so hard all my life to be able to have those moments. I don’t regret anything about making that choice.”

I hope Sarah Michelle Gellar does more mainstream movies from now on. She is an underrated actress and should have joined the A-list years ago. So, I hope she does more mainstream movies, tries to reach her full potential as an actress and tries to win an Oscar.
I hope Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr. have more children soon and that they have sons.
Hello guys wake up wake up good morning
SARAH ROCKS !!!
I rarely watch commercial TV (HBO/Showtime have best shows/ scripts and freedom for edgier roles) …BUT I will check this out since I think SMG brings it—to every role.
She is REALLY that good. She and Freddie conduct their lives away from the glare of H-WOOD and they come off as classy…wish them the best!
so, she’s kicked her drug habit? Heard it was herion.
“the fact that I had worked so hard all my life”
Had no idea she worked down a diamond mine all her life…….I like her but stupid thing to say.
