Katie Holmes: No More Tattoo!

Katie Holmes waits for the elevator at an office building on Saturday (August 27) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 32-year-old actress was sans tattoo! The day before, Katie sported a temporary chain tattoo around her wrist, but her rep said it was “just for fun.”

Katie recently spoke with the Wall Street Journal about her latest flick, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark.

“What I really enjoyed about Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark is that it is a horror movie, and it is part of a genre, but there’s emotional weight between these characters that is compelling, and you don’t necessarily need the monsters to move the story along,” Katie said about her attraction to the film. “You’re interested in what’s going on in their lives and what’s going to happen between them,” she concluded.

Katie is stunning….Tom Cruise is a lucky guy

I thought henna tattoos faded over time. Is it normal to remove a henna tattoo one day after the artwork is applied?
Sorry. I forgot that we are talking about crazy “non-medicated” Katie Holmes, and nothing done in her life is normal. The tat must not have been Xenu-approved :-P

Back to normal. Dirty, stringy hair. Braless in an unflattering top. Pants don’t fit–usually her pants are way too tight, this time they are just ill-fitting! Dirty, chipped nails ( a new low for her)–and in the 4th pic it looks like she is picking at one of them w/her thumb. Nice bag, but her disregard for the rest of her appearance makes the bag look like a wal-mart special. Shoes don’t go with the outfit.

With all that money you’d think she would have cloths that actually fit her. Those pants are just…

I’ve seen her on several talk shows. she is soooooo boring !!! I cannot imagine what she and Tom talk about, he at least seems somewhat intelligent. By the way, she cannot act either.

” Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark disappointed with an estimated $3.63 million at 2,760 nearly single-screen locations. That was a low debut gross for a supernatural horror movie, and trailed distributor FilmDistrict’s previous release Insidious ($4.78 million). In fact, in the past three years, the sub-genre has only seen two worse starts (Case 39 and The Haunting of Molly Hartley). ”

Will it pick up ground after the hurricane ends? With the poor reviews coming in, probably not.

August 28, 2011 , Weekend Report, Box Office Mojo
” Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark disappointed with an estimated $8.7 million at 2,760 nearly single-screen locations. That was a low debut gross for a supernatural horror movie and trailed distributor FilmDistrict’s previous release Insidious ($13.3 million). In fact, in the past three years, the sub-genre has seen only two worse starts (Case 39 and The Haunting of Molly Hartley). FilmDistrict reported females under 25 years old and Latino-populated markets as the movie’s strongest contingents. ”

Cost $25 million to make. Another bomb for KH?

” ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark’ opened in third place, thanks largely to the horror cred of co-screenwriter and producer Guillermo del Toro. (Sorry, Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce, but you’re not box office draws.) In fact, del Toro’s name and the lack of horror competition (sorry, ‘Fright Night,’ but even though you opened just last week, you’re already a non-entity) led pundits to predict a second-place finish for this one at around $10 million. Instead, it had to settle for a storm-lashed $8.69 million, according to studio estimates.

In fact, ‘Dark’ may end up in fourth place once final weekend numbers are released on Monday. Its estimated take was just $39,000 ahead of that for ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’ ”

saw the movie today. Too bad they did not pick better actors ( Katie and Pierce). The child actress was good!

Katie ruined what could have been a good scary movie. Katie is not a natural actress. She tries too hard. She makes the same gestures with her hands and face in the other movies as well as talk shows!! It’s so annoying and boring as hell. I guess Tom had to pay to get her this part.

When will the movie directors learn that their movies will bomb when they include Katie Holmes. ????
