Emma Roberts keeps it cute as she arrives at the House of Hype’s 2011 MTV Video Music Awards after party, held at the SLS Hotel on Sunday (August 28) in Los Angeles.
The 20-year-old Scream 4 actress filled us in on some exciting news – she’s starting college!

“I’m leaving for New York tomorrow to attend my very first semester of college,” she exclusively told JustJared.com on Sunday night. “I’m studying English literature and couldn’t be more excited!”

I’m all for education, but come on, is every actor/actress a genius that they attend the likes of Brown, Columbia, Yale or Harvard? If not one of those, then it is usually NYU. Just once I would like to hear of celeb going to an non elite school in a non flashy city.

She is going to Sarah Lawrence, and she is an incredibly well-read and bright young girl, but most people don’t really know much about her before they start spewing their jealous crap.

@Priscilla The British actress Romola Garai (Older Briony Tallis) graduated with an English Lit degree with the Open University in the U.K. Doesn’t get any less ‘elite’ than studying at home.
Sadly, most of today’s English Lit schools are dominated by pseudo intellectual Marxists. That’s what happened to Renee Zellwegger, and it has taken her years to recover from all the brainwashing.
