George Clooney Cruises Into Venice

George Clooney rides a water taxi on Tuesday (August 30) in Venice, Italy.

The 50-year-old actor is in town for the 68th Venice Film Festival, which will open with his new movie, The Ides of March, on Wednesday.

George also is reportedly “in the process of withdrawing” from Steven Soderbergh‘s The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

No official word on why he’s dropping out of the film, but “Warner Bros. intends to stay on track for a February 2012 start for the movie, which is based on the 1960s light spy drama starring Robert Vaughn and David McCallum,” according to Deadline.
