Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, & Alicia Keys Cover 'Glamour'

Jennifer Aniston, Demi Moore, and Alicia Keys get close on the cover of Glamour magazine’s October 2011 issue, on newsstands Tuesday (September 6).

Here’s what the ladies, who directed short films for Lifetime’s Five, had to share:

Jen, on wanting to bring the project to life: “We were intrigued by the challenge of creating short stories that would defy audiences’ expectation of the subject. We wanted to balance the drama with humor and irreverence because that’s what’s helped our friends who’ve faced this get through their treatment. We wanted stories that were informative without being heavy-handed. Oh, and they needed to be brilliantly written. Other than that, our goals were small. [Laughs.]”

Jen, on not believing what you read in the tabloids: “There’s not nearly as much stealing and obsessing and middle-of-the-night secret calls to ex-boyfriends and scheming and cheating [as they lead you to believe]. Most of it’s just bulls—, however entertaining.”

Demi, on raising awareness: “I think that so often there is that ‘out of sight, out of mind’ feeling, like breast cancer is happening to other people, not you. Before this project came up. Even I really didn’t want to pay attention. I feel that this came to me to make me pay attention.”

Alicia, on directing her film, Lili: “After I read the scripts, I felt like this was something important, and I wanted to be a part of it. I chose Lili because she’s close to my age and I understood the family dynamic. I had an immediate idea of what I could bring to it.”

ugh I’ll give up on this site! the people who comment are so biased! They’re three beautiful and well intentioned women who directed movies to raise awareness for breast cancer and u still find things to criticize..

Must to grow up people! them, they have turned the page but fans can not do it then none of you is involved in this story

OMG – You people are hilarious! It is so true how when anything is written about Jen we have to talk about Angelina/Brad. If you hate Jen, here is a thought don’t comment on any of her articles. Especially when it is for a great cause and we should be talking about breast cancer not who slept with who.

Let’s get some things out of the way since that is all you can concentrate on. Brad and Angelina are together for a long time with beautiful children. This is so long ago why bring it up. Jen is with Justin who let’s face it is not married hence not a home wrecker. For all you know he could have been separated from his girlfriend. Leave them be as well. See how easy that was.

These ladies look beautiful. You should pray you look this good in your 40s. Go Alicia. She looks stunning as always.

Well if Jen is a homewrecker then I guess she learned from the best in Hollywood. If you can’t beat them, join them. That seems to be the MO in Hollywood. A ring on your finger means nothing. Living with someone means nothing. She finally wised up. Good for you!

I think they made a fantastic movie and I’m so impressed with their directorial and production skills. I’m not aware, except for Barbra Streisand doing so, which made a great deal of people aware, thank goodness to her, about actors. Yes as we all know the now correct term to name a man or woman who does act as a profession.. I’m happy they changed that because it’s much more fitting for the years we’ve come to, although everything is now stated to be should actually just be correct English .. Politically Correct is a word I think is out..I think referring people to where are they are from geographically, religiously, career-wise, etc., should be used as everyday language because that’s exactly what it is.. Actor..(acting as a profession or not).. Director, Producer, Writer, Pilot, Writer, and so forth and so on.. The word “Politically Correct” has been used for so many years I think it’s grown moldy.. But people who read and keep up with current events know what’s grammatically correct as far as the language we should use without the must be PC.. call me crazy, but I think that tern us over..

She does nothing for anyone unless she has something to gain. She propbably pushed her way into this trio for publicity, at the same time she made her announcement of her directing a documentary, photo’s of Jolie directing her first film was coming out daily on this same web-site and others.
