Evan Rachel Wood, Philip Seymour Hoffman, George Clooney, and Marisa Tomei hit the red carpet at the premiere of their new movie, The Ides of March, on Wednesday (August 31) at the Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy.

Evan, 23, wore Alessandra Rich and finished her look with Giuseppe Zanotti heels and Bulgari jewelry.

Marisa chose a mustard gown with a cream rose pearl drape by Marios Schwab, while George suited up in a Giorgio Armani two-button peak lapel midnight blue tuxedo.

Being a film about politics, ‘The Ides Of March’ will be a very important movie.
I don’t understand why actors like Tom Cruise or Johnny Depp don’t do movies like this.

I always liked Evan Rachel Wood but she is far less attractive with short hair and looks too masculine. I hope she will have long hair again and keep it that way.

# 3

Evan looks very elegant. Marisa, too.

It is unfortunate that their co-stars Ryan Gosling, Jeffrey Wright and Max Minghella are absent at the Venice Film Festival.

Neither of the ladies dresses are that great. Both their hair and makeup is underwhelming.

People here will say mean things about Evan just to be mean.
I am sure Evan is sad because she’s at Venice with George Clooney instead of dancing naked in a champagne glass at some stupid hollywood party. (Dita’s people need to get over it. )

Wood is an actress, not a celebrity. She looks like an elegant actress.
Marisa Tomei is an actress, not a celebrity and looks like an elegant actress. Clooney looks like he owns Hollywood, and I just love PSH and Paul Giamatti no matter what they wear.

Isn’t Tomei old enough to be ERW’s mother?

Wow! She got really old looking.
They do look the same age.

@michelle: Nice of you to tell people what to think.

I agree she doesn’t look very good here. That hair cut does her no favors and she doesn’t look elegant at all. She looks low rent as usual.

@Reigert: IA, she’s ugly without long hair.

runswithbats @ 08/31/2011 at 3:19 pm

@michelle: True and very well said, Michelle!

She really does not look old at all, though the short hairdo does not work on her. Having said that, her hair is styled in a way that deceives the eye. It looks like an updo rather than short hair being slicked back which is why I don’t mind her hair here. I hope she does this at the Emmy Awards.

@Reigert: Some women have the features to pull off short hair. Emma Watson and Michelle Williams both look great. Evan Wood looks terrible. The style does emphasize how masculine her features are without long hair.

@michelle: No, people will give their honest opinion about Evan because this is not a fan site and everyone can give their viewpoint. I’ve never found her pretty. Her acting is highly overrated and she comes across as arrogant in many of her interviews.

She is starting to look old for someone in her early 20s.
If I didn’t know her age, I’d guess her to be around 35-40.

Love Clooney, Hoffman and Gosling.
The other two not so much.

I think both women could do much better than this.
Why did Wood chop all her hair off? Bad style for someone with a thick neck and makes her look like a blockhead.

@Wow!: Pretty soon she’ll be playing George Clooney’s mom.

ERW=ugly chick
MT=tired old broad

Marissa needs to lay off the fake tanner and Evan needs to tone down the ***** face. She always looks like she just finished sucking a lemon.

Why didn’t Gosling attend the premiere?
