Evan Rachel Wood and Kate Winslet pose at a photo call for Mildred Pierce on Friday (September 2) at the Palazzo del Cinema in Venice, Italy.
The two co-stars promoted their HBO mini series with co-star Guy Pearce and director Todd Haynes during the 68th Venice Film Festival.
Kate, 35, and Evan, 23, have also been in town for their other projects.
On Thursday, Kate premiered Carnage, while Evan attended the premiere of The Ides of March the day before.
FYI: Kate is wearing Roger Vivier open toe epines. Evan wore Dolce&Gabbana with MEUS Designs studs.

I know some don’t agree with me but I find Evan stunning – I’ve loved her ever since Thirteen.
I always liked Evan Rachel Wood but she is far less attractive with short hair and looks too masculine. I hope she will have long hair again and keep it that way.
Some women look good in short hair.
Wood is not one of them.

Evan never has a genuine smile. She always looks so bitter.

Kate W. looks great. She’s not a model and doesn’t try to be. She is comfortable and sexy in her own skin. Evan W. looks uncomfortable. She doesn’t seem to have found her stylle yet and looks very awkward.
@beats: You’ve got a point. I never realized what a big chin she had until she cut off most of her hair. She needs the length. Her features look out of proportion now.
I still can’t get over what an awesome career Kate continues to have. She’s a truly talented actress. What a range of roles she’s played. It’s nice to see talent rewarded so well.

I don’t get why they cast these two opposite each other. Wood was not credible as Winslet’s daughter. It was like watching two sisters pretend to be mother and daugther.
